Just like Calloway, he'll get his shot at RB. But, more than likely it will prove he's more valuable at H-Back.

If OJ gets his speed down a bit, I could see him as a monster WR. I saw an article recently where he said he ran a 4.54 forty. He's already 2 tenths faster than Earnest Robinson.

"I think playing wide receiver in college would be great. I look at myself as a Calvin Johnson type player. I am not as big as him, but I think I can be just like him. I would like to get my speed down a little bit. I run a 4.54."

It sounds like if we take a 2nd he is our guy. OC seems to really like him.
Plus I just read an article that Ferguson might not be to keen in a team taking 2 QBs. FWIW
BIG mistake taking McLeod over Josh Dobbs. Take it from someone who has seen them both play. McLeod is "solid" but if he were SEC-level good, Walton would have won the State Championship as Grayson played 10 in the Box to stop Tyren Jones because they knew McLeod couldn't beat them.
He's a Div I player but not a starting QB for a perennial top 5-10 level team. He's a "Game Manager" for Walton High School.

I'll be shocked if Bama offers Parker.

Tyren is the best back in the country imo. His film is ridiculous.
Attend his games....as I did and you'll be amazed. NEVER in my 37 years (32 of which have been as a high school football fan/game attendee).......he's the best offensive player I've ever seen in person....and I saw Darrell "Lectron" Williams, Chris Leak, Hakeem Nicks, Andre Brown (Back RB-Giants teammate of Nicks), Marcus Lattimore, Julio Jones, Kenyan Drake......Alvin Kamara.
Kid is like Whodini even running against 9-10 in the box all game long.
Barring anything unforeseen, Jones will be the All-Time Leading Rusher & TD Scorer in Georgia's Large Class at the end of the 2012 Season. Keep in mind that this classification was the #1 rated classification in the nation in 2011 as 12 different teams were ranked in the Rivals 100 at some point during 2011.
Jones also played 3 games against 5 Star DLineman in 2011 as well as being 1 of the top 2 players at the Georgia Rising Senior All-Star Game.......

I feel confident we'll get Brown. BTW, and this won't be popular, but I've been told by very reliable people that Henry has already flipped to Bama. Would more than likely play H-Back. Not going to announce for a while for reasons of not rocking the running back boat too much at Bama. Saban moves a lot of "athletes" around once they get on campus. But I'll tell you, Tenpenny has the "name" and deservedly so, but Tyren Jones is a fareak! Kamara showed out at camp. Bama could land all 4. Kamara would be more of an "athlete" perhaps slot on O or even corner on D. So then Bama is still only taking 2 running backs....if you can follow all that.
Post this on BOL....I've been trying to tell them about Tyren Jones.

From May 23rd:
quote:
“I feel real good about my decision,” he added. “I’m planning on starting my freshman year and dominating my freshman year.”
With his latest 40-yard dash time of 4.48 seconds, Robinson presents the ultimate package for a wide receiver when you add in his size and physical nature. Even with all the physical traits, he said for him the biggest thing about his game is the improvements he made in all areas of his trade as a wide receiver.
“Spring went real good,” Robinson said. “We won our game over Handley. I think I have progressed with my speed, my ability to catch the ball, and my route running. I think I got stronger too catching the football.”
The 40 time listed on his Rivals profile was from early sophomore year.

I was just posting what I read that the OC seems to like McLeod. I was actually hoping for Ferguson but I do not get paid to make those decisions.

Like I said before, if he came to bama he would be at UNA in 3 years. I'm sure he will do well for y'all though.

I wasn't knocking you at all as I've heard the same. I happened to watch McLeod play 12 games this past 2011 season and when I tell the folks that I attended games with that McLeod has a Bama offer......they will be like "WTF"?

Just my opinion. Too slow, not a great blocker, and doesn't run great routes. I've also heard he has some off the field issues.

I like that's he's striving to prove himself at WR, yet is still accepting of being a TE/HB at Bama. It's a win-win for Bama, they'll either get a giant WR or a very athletic TE. Too bad Bama doesn't have 2 of OJ, they could stick one on D. ESPN had him over Foster on their RISE team at LB a few months back.
And does anyone know if OJ plays basketball? I would hope so at that size, unless he's horrible at it...

He runs a lot of lazy routes and he doesn't like to block. I have heard he is pretty full of himself and doesn't take criticism very well.

Not sure if that's sarcasm?
The kid is very talented. Why else would we want him.

Im not on staff. Just think he is Mike Bowman 2.0
Posted on 6/4/12 at 9:04 pm to bbeck
We don't want him, we cancelled his visit.

Analyze That...ask the guys in the Dawgs recruiting thread....they were talking about him yesterday.
They had some info about him... thinking he might choose football if he didn't go in first round.
