EW could turn out to be the best player from the class and nobody ever talks about him.

We could sign 5 QBs in this class, but if AJ left we would still be up shite creek.
I really like Bateman enough that I don't think two is necessary.
And I kind of feel the same way about the 2014 class and Moss. If he progresses in his new offense he could be special. I haven't spent any time analyzing any other kids in next years class, but maybe I should start.

Long way until then, I just wanted to get a feel for why you felt the way you do. I trust your opinion on Qb's more than anybody that doesn't get paid to do it.
ETA: hell, probably more than some guys that do get paid for it.

Here is my quick take on McLeod
This kid was successful playing at the AAAAA level in Georgia, so that has to help when judging the competition he faced. He was on a really good team, but they appear to have a pretty balanced offensive attack.
From a quick look at McLeod a couple things that really impressed my novice eyes are his footwork and his pocket presence. It's also cool to see that he does actually take some snaps under center.
He throws a really good/accurate deep ball, but I would like to see more zip on his underneath throws. He aint afraid to move around a little bit and he clearly throws well on the run. However, in the SEC it's normally a better idea to stay inside the tackles, except for on designed rollouts.
He commands his offense like a true Field General. He sells his fakes well, and on a few plays I can see him manipulate the secondary with his eyes. He would be a great choice as a 2nd QB, but do we have room is the question.
This is a QB-heavy draft coming up, so AJ leaving early is a longshot, at best. I know the staff has to prepare, but I just dont see it.

Nice job man. Thanks.
Now i'm looking to Saint's to see the comparison and see what y'all viewed differently. Should be good for at least a page or two.
ETA:
Saint will be thrilled.

Do you think he is worth a scholly in this class?

If we can sign a full class, then I definitely see it. My concern would be if we actually had to take 23 or fewer, as I think Bateman is strong enough to hold us down in a crunch.

Charles from BOL has said we only take 22-24 fwiw. We'll see.

Who are you looking at WR in 2014

From what I have seen thus far by 247, 2014 will be a very week WR class as a whole

Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy defensive back Jalen Ramsey has a lot going on these days. Earlier this week, Ramsey won the Tennessee state championship in the decathlon. On Friday he’s favored to win the state championship in the 200, the 400, the long jump and the 110 meter hurdles. But a phone call on Wednesday still managed to stand out in this busy week.
That call was the one on which he was offered a scholarship by Alabama head coach Nick Saban.
“It was nice talking to him,” Ramsey said on the eve of his state championship meet. “He’s one of the best coaches anywhere in the nation right now so it was cool talking to him. It was a blessing.
“We talked about how he liked my size, he wanted my film and wanted to see me and see where I could play. He thinks I could play safety or cornerback.”
The Crimson Tide was already on Ramsey’s radar prior to the offer. He was considering getting down to Tuscaloosa this summer to try to earn an offer had he not received one. Now that the offer has come, Ramsey still plans to see what it’s all about in Tuscaloosa.
“It was good,” he said of the offer. “They’re the No. 1 team in the nation and they just came off a BCS Championship win. Most people say that’s the biggest one because they came off a championship win and it is big coming from a coach like Coach Saban.
“I’m definitely interested. Basically, like any other school, I need to get down there and see. Everybody has presumptions but I’m going to have to go down there and see for myself so I can see what the differences might actually be.”
In addition to an Alabama visit this summer, Ramsey has tentative plans to visit some other schools, mentioning Auburn, Ole Miss and Mississippi State as some possibilities.
Ramsey knows of two schools that he will visit for sure because the plane tickets have been booked: Washington and USC. He will also be camping at The Opening and the Five-Star Challenge.
Though there is no decision coming in the near future, Ramsey does have a good idea as to what he’s looking for in a program.
“Playing time, early playing time, that’s the key,” he said. “Academics is key and a good supporting staff and an administration that will help me after my football time is over with.”

What is our worst position right now. Or to put it better where do we need to improve at?
As in depth and/or overall talent?
Not at Safety
Not at LB
