fricking shite, send us some linebackers. Jew-Fro has to hold down the middle for us.

Does not mean anything really. Just because Anderson has been there doesn't mean he has an advantage other than working out and learning scheme. If I showed up for a couple months, does that mean I am the next Alabama Mike LB? LOL. Smart teaches ILB, Thompson teaches OLB. Anderson has never taken a snap at ILB in his career. Ragland did for 4 years.

Foster is a down hill hitter. I don't see him as a strong candidate for the Mosely roll at Will. Also betting Ragland gets a good look at SAM. Devall would likely be head-to-head with Ryan at Mike.

You kinda have a point, but you have to admit that enrolling early and being with the team obviously gives an advantage vs not being there.

No way in hell Foster ends up at anything other than Mike imo.

You shut your mouth. Everyone knows Saban over recruits to keep talent away from everyone even though they will ride the pine! Foster is ours! Seriously though Foster is ours...

Same thing I think.
DePriest looks like the Will to me.

Damn, everyone makes fun of all the Jack LB's we recruit and sign but this is why! We can't find anybody that actually fits the position. Anderson was supposed to be this perfect Jack prospect from everything I heard late last year. I wonder if Devall will get a shot at Jack now.

Lee is the future Sam. Incredible coverage for a LB. Ragland could practice at Sam, but is a true Mike/Will. Ragland reminds me of Ro McClain. Also, I talked to Devall, Smart told him he will play Will. Also Ragland wants the number 1 jersey.

Other than kick/punt coverage that will be made up of 8 LB's and 2 DB's, how the hell are we gonna play 21 NFL quality linebackers over the next 2 years?

You do know that Reggie Ragland spent a lot of time playing OLB in high school right? And I'm sure you know Ryan Anderson played MLB his Senior year right?
Anderson practiced with the SAMs and the JACKs already, and Saban has moved SAMs inside to WILL and MIKE before because they do a lot of similar things. Cory Reamer was asked to play a lot inside after playing SAM, Harris played snaps inside before finally settling outside at SAM.
Ragland isn't as superior to Anderson as you're trying to make him out to be. he's got him beat athletically, but I recall the word passive being tossed around when talking about RR during his recruitment...

BTW, I heard Tyler Hayes will start out at H-Back. Package for Hayes and Calloway on both sides?

Not surprising. Knew the kid was fast.

You could be right, but for the majority of Anderson's senior year I watched him at DE. He played DE the entire game against my alma mater Fairhope High School. And I am sure every freshman LB between Ragland, Lee, Anderson, and Devall will all get a look at all 4, plus DE for Anderson.

With the mean streak Ragland has, I would love to see what he could do after a year in S&C on the edge as a Jack
