This one. Loeffler wasn't that high on Rettig, but Rettig was very high on AU

A lot of times this is the truth 80% of the time just based off the stage of development at a HS Jr about to go into Summer and with Rettig it is even more the case given his injury. He is underrated to me, he and Staver are the 2 most underrated in this class

I heard rumors about this, but also when Jeremy Johnson spoke with Loeffler he was impressed, and with Rettig, he liked AU a lot b/c of Loeffler, but was not an AU fan the way JJ is, also consider Loeffler came in already having Zeke Pike in the fold and on the team, they are the same attitude wise, Loeffler didn't want 2 of those type guys, just what I was told about why AU took JJ, also important to add LSU doesn't have anyone at QB with the type "edge" or "swag" if you will, and to me it is a fine line so I'm not gonna say trouble or anything like that

Haven't seen Staver's highlights.

If this kid can completely overcome his injury and his pledge sticks, I think he can be good.

I mean, it's not like Mettenberger is a Michael Vick clone. This offense doesn't require a running QB. For some fricked up reason, Miles wanted to keep trying to fit a square peg into a round hole with Jefferson.

Anybody see on NFL Network this morning interviews from Megatron asked if he thinks he could play MLB and he said "I think I still got it a little bit" and then interviewed Matt Stafford and he "I don't care what he says he couldn't take my heat" classic

Congrats. I really do like Allen, but I'm more than happy with Bateman. I guess we can both be happy that we got a QB that we actually wanted as opposed to taking the scraps left over by the rest of the SEC. **cough LSU, Auburn cough**

Good call

Agreed about it not being run 1st, but for some strange reason Les seemed to like having a QB with run option, of course it might also Be the nightmares he had until this year with Lee gave him a bad experience with a pocket passer type not sure

Maybe Les needs a run option at QB because he doesn't trust his OL to be able to protect a pocket passer?

What? Did you not see Lee's numbers before the Alabama game?

As far as Lee goes, a former college OL (McNeese) told me that he's watched Lee his entire career at LSU and from his experience and seeing him play, he was scared to DEATH of being hit. Called him a coward. I questioned him and once they got to a team that hits the QB, you can see it. ...and when he gets scared, you see the errant throws (ala Alabama game)

As far as the OL not protecting, you're out of your mind.

Come on now. Before Rettig committed this morning, no one on the LSU RB even had him on y'alls radar.

But I'm sure you will come in here and respond that he was at the top of YOUR list all along.

Easy Saint, they both responded to a post you made BEFORE they landed a QB you were actually pretty complimentary about so it shows on them not you

Our fans don't coach our team.

He was injured most of last year, but it sounds like he's got plenty of potential.

A QB that nobody had any idea was even interested in LSU until this morning. If I had even thought that Rettig was a possibility for LSU I would have included them with Auburn when I gave my analysis on him. But I guess they want to ruin their own big day by arguing with me.

All I can do is give them this:

Well if you read my analysis on him then you would see that I was highly complimentary towards Rettig and this was over 100 pages back.
