I need to update my sig quote due to Allen's commitment this morning, but I'm having trouble deciding who I should replace him with...any suggestions?
Also, I'm considering taking Adams off since it appears we aren't in the running. So, I guess I need two suggestions.

I changed mine this morning and took Adams off completely. I added Tyrone Crowder to mine. I'm kind of surprised that Matthew Thomeas isn't on yours. Any reason?

Adams is a beast, but he is a 4-3 DT. If he wanted to come to Bama you don't turn him down, but I'm not sure where you play him.

I don't think he is very interested at this point.

Tunsil, J Smith, M Thomas, A Kamara, D Henry, D Walker, Any would suffice 8)

I was holding out hope that Adams would eventually visit, but Paige's commitment on Saturday effectively ended that deal. I know Thomas is going to be on the list, I actually forgot I didn't have him on it to be honest.
I'm big on OT's so I'm seriously considering adding Leon Brown, the JUCO OT from NY, even though he's not ranked that high.
Aside from that, I guess our next biggest need would be what, CB? I'd love to get Vernon Hargreaves but I think he goes to USF unless his dad gets a bigger job. I like Maurice Smith and Brendan Langley, but I can't quite decide who I like better.

I'm not getting into that wasp's nest. That debate already raged for about 20 pages in this thread.

I think our chances are much higher with Smith than Langley, if that means anything.

I think M Smith might be the only one of those 3 we get. Would also like to get V Bell or M Alexander.

Probably not. He's going to end up at Auburn or Clemson most likely. He fits better in their schemes.

Just put them both and everybody is happy.

I would love to get him, but I think he is in love with Clemson at the moment. He's so damn fickle that we may become his leader down the road, but right now, he's in love with the school he last visited.
I think I'm gonna go with Maurice Smith. He does seem to be the safest bet right now. That new article about him that came out today said we would be hard to beat if he pressed for him. My question is, why aren't we putting the full court press on a Top 4 CB already?

From TTsTowel on the LSUrb regarding Bama's recruiting:
"They sell nearly every linebacker and future defensive lineman the JACK linebacker pitch, even though they see another position in that player's future. For example, Dee Liner. You know he won't stay small enough to be a JACK linebacker. He would end up a defensive end in the 34 defense. But that doesn't stop Saban from selling him what he wants to hear. That's why we see them getting so many good prospects on the defensive line (that "grew out of" JACK linebacker) and so many linebackers every year. It's borderline crazy that some believe what they hear."
Is this an accurate representation of Bama's recruiting strategy for LB/DL?

Maybe because the staff likes Mac better.
Along with me.

It's an accurate representation that Saban has completely mindfricked our fellow SEC teams fans.

I'm going to reserve my comments until a few more folks get a chance to chime in.

Well when you can say to a recruit " you can be the next Upshaw or if you keep growing the next Dareus" it rings home.
