If Bama fills up at LB and only offers a greyshirt, YES
A greyshirt means you either delay enrollment until Jan, or you pay your own way for first semester. Either way, you can't workout with the team. That said, the Jones family is comfortable enough financial to cover the one cost of one semester (or 4 years). He'll play at Bama.

Somebody on Wooly is claiming Reuben announced his 5 official visits today and one of them was to Hawaii?
I can't find anything on it. Have y'all?
He can announce all he wants but there's a reason top prospects hardly ever visit Hawaii. Hawaii only brings in kids it has a better than good chance of landing. They've always done it that way just to keep 9000 kids from visiting and mucking everything up. Travel is just to far and costs too much. It is almost 3000 miles from the west coast so it's one hell of a long flight from Bama to Hawaii.

He may have announced he was going to visit Hawaii, but I highly doubt they let him visit. They're on a very tight budget, and a lot of these kids would visit there, if Hawaii would allow them to. They don't let any highly ranked kids visit, because the interest isn't genuine.

I lived in Hawaii for 5 years. Getting up at 6 a.m. Saturday morning after a long night of drinking to watch Bama play in the early game sucked arse.

It's so gorgeous though. I go once a year, and love the weather. I like getting up early to watch football, and it being over in the afternoon.

It has its pluses and minuses. 5 years was plenty for me, but some people decide to never leave. MNF was annoying as well. It wasn't tape delayed at that time so the game was on while everyone was at work. They started tape delaying it right before I left.

Cost of living is outrageous for most people.

We went for 10 days over christmas a few years ago. Hit the big island, Oahu, Maui, and Kuai. Kuai was by far my favorite. Honolulu seemed like a really cool city though.

Honolulu is cool. Kona is nice, and Kuai is really nice. Love them all. All have great golf as well.

Lived on Oahu but visited most of the other islands. It wasn't a bad place to be single and in my mid-20s

Thanks, kinda discouraging about Barret Jones, but I think if anybody can change to center he can.
