It's so freaking great to have our guy and not have to wait and see how things shake out at other schools

Don't think he's going to be our 2nd guy.

Yeah I think Buchanan is going to come down to whether or not he wants to stay home (Ole Miss) or play for a big time program (AU or UF)

Is moving him back to guard not an option? Going to need a new C this year or next, why not develop one this year with a very strong line.

I was initially worried about info like this yesterday. But I thought about it, you could switch BJ to QB and he'd have a tight spiral down by fall camp. There's still plenty of time for him to progress, and I'd bet he'll be doing some snapping drills over the summer. If/when Vlachos gets cut from the Titans, I'd ask him to come down and work with me. He doesn't have a ton of talent, but he does know the position well. Vlachos is someone who will end up being a position coach somewhere.

I am worried that Calloway is gonna usurp the H-Back position from Harrison Jones. It's more selfish in reason than Jones being the better player.

And the JACK and SAM situation is interesting, I thought we'd see Dickson(J) and Hubbard(S) as much as they've talked about it being "mirror" positions. And I know Patrick has been having a great Spring, but it's weird that they'd start Atchison at 1st team SAM on A-Day and not him...

It didn’t take long for cornerback Brendan Langley of Kell (Ga.) High School to make his mark in his final spring game for Longhorns.

After the offense moved the ball just a little in its first two series, head coach Derek Cook had seen enough. Cook put his star defensive player on offense, and Langley took a speed sweep from his own 20-yard line, raced toward the sideline and cut up the field, out running everybody else around him for an 80-yard touchdown.

On the next offensive possession, two plays in, Langley ran a corner route, caught the ball and again raced up the sideline, and 80 yards later, he had another touchdown.

This type of ability is what has made the 6-foot-1, 180-pound Langley one of the more sought-after defensive backs in the 2013 class. So it has been a busy week for coaches at Kell. Georgia defensive coordinator Todd Grantham was there on Tuesday, and Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart was there on Wednesday.

Langley has been citing three schools atop his list for a while now. Right now, he says that hasn't changed going into the summer months.

“I still would give Georgia a slight lead right now with Alabama in second and Tennessee third,” Langley said. ”Those are the ones I am focusing on right now. Needless to say, I have to take a lot more visits before I make my final decision at the end of the summer, but as of right now, those are the schools I am focusing on.”

There are a few reasons Georgia is still on top, according to Langley.

“Just the camaraderie up there," he said. "I love the setting. I love the coaches. I love the 3-4 defense. I love Coach Grantham, all the coaches up there. So right now it is picture-perfect for me.”

Alabama has reportedly gained ground lately, which Langley acknowledged Friday night, saying he is hearing more from the Crimson Tide.

“Alabama has started recruiting me a lot harder than they were before," Langley said. "I have been in contact with Coach Smart a lot, and Coach (Jeremy) Pruitt a lot too. Coach Smart came to my practice on Wednesday, and stayed longer than any other coach has.”

Langley says he is looking for one key factor in his final decision.

“I'm just looking for further development," he said. "I mean, where I will be in three to four years instead of worrying if I will start as a freshman.”

The four-star prospect is still planning to commit before his senior season starts. He will be involved with his Kell teammates in several 7-on-7 events in the metro Atlanta area in June.

The Eagles signed undrafted rookie offensive lineman Alfred McCullough and relased center Zane Taylor on Thursday.

The 6-foot-2, 311-pound McCullough played mostly tackle at Alabama but projects as a guard. He played in 30 games and started in nine for the Crimson Tide over his collegiate career. He was at Ravens rookie minicamp last weekend.

The Eagles signed Taylor, a 2011 undrafted rookie, to their practice squad last year. He participated in this past weekend's rookie minicamp.

Tide checks in on Auburn commit ILB Trey Johnson of Central Gwinnett (Ga.).

Seems firm to Tigers, but Alabama keeping in touch to make sure the lifeline is open -- just in case. Kirby Smart was there. I think he's wise to do that.
