Agreed also heard today about De'Asian possibly soon, and Poggi soon as well, this is the reason Walker delayed Muschamp was on the horn calling telling who all Bama will be landing it'll come back to bite him no worries though

Walker's friends are going to Florida. Even if he likes Bama a bit more and committed to us this month, he was going to end up at UF in the end.

I'm not sure. We really haven't been recruiting him that hard. It would be a surprise to me

Tidesports article quotes Josh McNeil saying that he and Riley Ferguson talked about playing at Bama together when they were both at a combine. McNeil plans on visiting Bama for the first time in June.

Oh I have no idea. He just sounded like he liked Auburn the most in interviews.

This. Kid has a high ceiling too. Fanning's ceiling is comparable but Allen is more mentally ready than Fanning was at same stage

Riley Ferguson news:

quote:

CORNELIUS, (N.C.) – Quarterback Riley Ferguson made the relatively short drive across Charlotte to Hough High School on Sunday for the latest Nike Football Training Camp stop.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder had what most consider to be his most impressive camp outing to date, pushing Georgia commit Brice Ramsey for top quarterback honors.

“I’ve been to a lot of these camps, and I thought I did pretty good this time. I just wanted to come out here and get all this coaching and take it all in,” said Ferguson.

“There’s so many coaches out here who have done things and been successful. I come out here and they’ll tell me if I do something wrong and I’ll try to fix it on the next rep.”

Recruiting activity is beginning to pick up for the pro-style passer, with Butler High hosting a number of college programs so far during the May Evaluation Period.

“Right now I’m just looking at all the schools that have offered me and taking them into consideration. We’ve had a lot of schools come in to watch us throw 7-on-7 and stuff. Pretty much everybody has been by so far. Recruiting is pretty heavy right now. I’m hopefully going to make a top five in the next two weeks.”

Alabama offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier is one of the coaches who has been by to see the Queen City standout, who has two upcoming visits in mind.

“Coach Nuss came by to see me throw. I’ve been in contact with him at least once a week. We’re just keeping in contact and building a relationship. It’s going good right now. I’m going back to Alabama in June to throw for them.

“I’m also definitely going to try to get up to Virginia Tech soon to get a look at the campus. It might be before the Alabama visit if we can fit it in the schedule. If not, I’ll try to get there during the summer.”

Ferguson’s top five is expected to include LSU and South Carolina in addition to Alabama and Virginia Tech.

As a junior at Butler, Ferguson completed 184 of 279 passes for 3,345 yards and 48 touchdowns against 8 interceptions. He also lead the Bulldogs to a state championship as a sophomore.

I don't particularly want Ferguson, but it appears he is the backup plan if we miss out on Bateman IMO.
