The May Evaluation period began today and college coaches are hitting the road checking on prospects. UA outside linebackers coach Lance Thompson was by Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter High this morning to see WR Ryan Jenkins. Jenkins has blown up this spring, turning in big performances at the MVP Camp and then this weekend at the Atlanta NFTC where he was named WR MVP of the event and earned an invitation to the Opening.
I saw Jenkins at both events and feel he's one of the better slot WR's in the nation. He's an elite route-runner and possesses top notch acceleration, change of direction, and ball skills. He's also tested very well this spring, with a SPARQ rating of 122+, which is the highest of any WR tested thus far. Jenkins recently transferred to Lassiter, so look for him to have a huge year in their wide open offense. He currently holds offers from Clemson (where his brother Martin plays), Louisville, Missouri, UCLA, and Wake Forest. Look for that list to grow in the coming weeks.

Spoke with 247Sports' Luke Stampini who said Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood DE DeMarcus Walker was wearing Alabama rubber band bracelets at the Orlando Nike Camp today. He measured in at 6'4, 276 today
Landing Walker should soften the blow for the Tide fans who wanted Bosa.

If he's scared of competition, we don't need him anyways.

I know recruiting is not an exact science, but I feel really good on our chances with Walker.

BUFORD, Ga.—Saturday’s Atlanta NFTC saw many of the South’s top prospects compete at Buford High School’s state of the art facilities. Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Northridge ATH Bo Scarbrough was one of the top prospects in attendance and perhaps the best looking athlete on the hoof in the entire event.
Scarbrough was 247Sports' top underclassman at the event.
“I think I did pretty good. I didn’t have as many mistakes as I usually do- I’ve kind of picked up on everything coming off the ACL injury,” said Scarbrough. “The DB, number 136, (Georgia commit Tray Matthews) impressed me. We had a good matchup and were being physical. I felt like we were helping each other get better.”
Scarbrough, who came in at 6-foot-1.5 and 218 pounds, played wide receiver on Saturday. While he feels that may be his best position long term, he's unsure of where he projects at the next level with two more years of high school football remaining.
“I’m getting a little more physical at receiver, which I think they’ll probably put me in college. I think that will be the best spot for me to last the longest if I make it to the NFL. I think my size might play into it a little bit.
"When I go to Bama, they talk to me about both running back and wide receiver- right now they talk to me mostly about running back, but I know that I could be switched to receiver when I get there.”
The probable five-star prospect has publicly held the hometown team as his leader for over a month and says there are two teams that could potentially stave off an early commitment to the Crimson Tide.
“They’re still my leader. Everything about Bama is great- they have a good coaching staff and are a caring family over there. They stand in a position that I would probably commit to them if I don’t get the other offers that I want. Georgia and Florida would be the main two.”
The class of 2014 prospect was one of several top targets to attend A-Day. While he’s unsure if the Crimson Tide will be able to repeat as national champions, he feels the table is set for another title run in the coming years.
“I think Bama is going to have a great team this year, but probably not as good as last year’s team. They have great skill people, but I just don’t know if they’re ready yet. I’ll give them two years to rebuild into a championship team- maybe I’ll be a part of that team. They have great coaches and players. I’ve seen with my own two eyes how hard they work. They are a team and a big family, so I think they will pull off some big games this year.”
247Sports named Scarbrough the top underclassman and the seventh prospect overall at the event

I thought the company line was "We cooled on him" lol?
Good get for the Bucks tho ....I think Fla St still goes after Bosa hard

We cooled on him because he was scared of competition.

Good get for them, but he is gonna be sitting behind the DE haul OSU pulled in last year. Unless he feels he can beat out Spence,Washington,Pittman and/or Marcus those guys will only be a year ahead of him. Wonder if he thought about that?

Urban negatively recruited against his own program. Told Bosa that half those thugs would be arrested at some point or another over the next year or two.

Lance Thompson is working Atlanta area today
Was told Alabama staff is at Camden County today as well. Keep a VERY CLOSE eye on this one. This is the school of UGA QB Commit Brice Ramsey. I made mention on here that Alabama is recruiting Ramsey very hard. They have not let up on him and are trying to get him to campus.
Ramsey is very close to Derrick Henry as well. The two live about 15 min apart and spend a ton of time together on weekends.
