I hope you know that was a joke. McKinzy was already committed to Auburn for almost a year

That would be exciting to watch with him and Kenjon Barner

I don't like how much pithy Bull shite that has nothing to do with football has worked against us. If kids made straight up football decisions you could add 6 more guys to that list easily.

Then I would start telling Kirby to change his recruiting schtick.

Barner will be gone but Kamara and Thomas would be a great duo

Kamara probably fits in an offense that runs a lot of Pin and Pull and Outside Zone. Oregon would be a good offense for him. He is the type of back who is good horizontally. I couldn't see him playing RB in our system for instance.

Yeah, whatever he's doing definitely isn't pulling top talent out of Georgia year after year.

So you dont think at any point our depth should start working against us? I can understand Nkemdiche picking Clemson, it's even logical... he's a big man on campus, with his highschool team mates and that depth chart has to look waaaay better than Bama's.

With Clowney... he got to stay close to moma and play a LOT immediately. And again, big man on campus infront of the "home" crowd.. i get it.

I can kind of understand where you are going with this... as far as us missing on the best of the best. But we dont always... Fact is, there is only so many of those elite players out there and we have got our fair share in:

Yeldon - IMO, best RB in 2012.
Collins - IMO, best S in 2012.
Kouandjio - Best OT in 2011.
Richardson - Best RB in 2009.

That's not too bad...

It would serve Kamara greatly if he went to Oregon, they would take advantage of his abilities in the slot while keeping him as a RB. They got Black Mamba on the field the same way, threw him a lot of WR screen and he just took off.

Crimson you know exactly where I am going with this. Think back to the Shula Days. Shula was the one trying the pithy bullshite to absolutely no success. We were told then "elite kids want to play for Nick Saban" and "gimmicks don't work". Now it seems we are the guy on top the hill and the game has changed. Now the package deals, pithy BS, and gimmicks work with kids. Its like the rules keep changing on us. When we were the shitty program understandably the top kids wanted to play for the top programs, hence us signing very few if any elite guys. We get to the top and it seems there are no benefits to being on top, kids want to play for sucky programs and sucky coaches.

He was saying how much he hated when recruiters bring up stuff outside of strict football terms, and I replied that he shouldn't be appreciating Kirby for his success then because he uses as much non-football material as football material in his schtick. Just thought it was a bit contradictory from the poster.

Nick Saban is why you have damn good recruiting. Nobody is topping USCw with the 2004 class. BUT, why the frick are you complaining when you keep getting the top recruiting class.
