I'm not at all. He's a great kid and I'd hate to see him go to AU and go the same route as other highly rated QBs we've brought in the past 4 years.

Kinda like when Bama signed 4 Top 50 running backs in the same cycle and went on to have the best backfield every year for the past 5 seasons. Yes, and look how many have transferred out of there.
Believe what you want, but Gatewood has been committed to us for a couple of years and we didn't even start recruiting Fields until Lindsey was hired (which was stupid and another knock on Gus).

Not sure why you are taking this so personally.
I know for a fact that the Auburn coaches haven't been coming around like they did at the end of last year.
They still wanted him and would gladly have taken him, but the writing was on the wall with he and Gatewood.

Joey Gatewood is rated the 273 player by 247 and is 103 on composite meaning some sites like him better. He's ranked as a 95 recruit.
Justin Fields is rated the 1 player by 247 and is 1 on composite. NUMBER 1 by every site.....there is no disagreement.
If you think your staff would back off of Fields with Gatewood in tow you are truly a homer and nothing I can say to you will change your mind. Don't' believe all the bullshyt uncle Keef puts out. He's been known to homer up his articles.

You're full of shite. You're trying to make it look like AU backed off because they had better options when in reality they backed off because they didn't have a chance with Fields.
