Doesn't Disney also own like 60-70% of FuboTV now too? It's almost a brilliant strategy by Disney.

Grab YTTV by the balls and request more $ -OR- everyone flocks to Hulu with Live TV or FuboTV, which in turn gives them even more money.

frick them for doing that strategy to the consumer BUT it's pretty genius during peak NFL season and CFB Season and even the start of CBB Season.

I downloaded onto my Roku Ultra device. Then i sign up on ESPN just to have an account. Sane thing for YouTube TV and YouTube. I cannot watch anything on YoutubeTV and will ask you the price for the different plans. I then was able to watch it on YouTube. I am not sure what others have done that doesn't work for them. I am surprised it works for me.

You can do Sling for 24 hours for $5 and get ESPN and ABC (ESPN3), which is what I did last week because I didn't want to F with getting a new service yet.

I went ahead and suspended my service with YoutubeTV to send a message, but they don't actually stop it until your next billing cycle date, so I still have service.

You can can still turn it back on with no problem if they work their bs out.

Over the air antenna is awesome if you can get reception from your home.

I would recommend doing the antenna just to have as a back up going forward.

I have no issues with getting ESPN3. I also can watch Mizzou games that is on ESPN, SEC network, ESPN2, or ESPNU by going to YouTube. This cost me nothing.

Hey....

pssssst......

He doesn't want to watch Mizzou women's volleyball on ESPN19.

He wants the LSU-Bama game on ABC and is not in a position to get an antennae due to distance from the broadcasting station or the fact he's 112 years old.

Why? I don't get it. I have no issues with YouTube. Plus, all you got to do to watch top SEC games is to add the ESPN app from the Roku store. Then sign up for an account on ESPN.com then go to home and make sure you are signed up fromthe Roku account. You will be able to go to ESPN and then see the SEC games shown and click the game that is currently for ESPN/ESPN3. Might have to click on ESPN then see wht other options may listed. I you do not see ESPN3 then go to YouTube and get that game for free. If you are talking about Georgia game that is not one of the top three SEC games for Saturday then go to YouTube. I have no problem with any Missouri football games. Plus all three top SEC games shown 11 am, 2:30 PM, 6:30 PM. unless you want to I watch other sports that is not going to be free.

I have same issues with distance and I have tall trees all around my place. If you have AT&T U-Verse and a Roku Ultra device. Then you download the ESPN app and YouTube app. I use those two to get those top SEC football games and Missouri football games. It doesn't cost me anything but AT&T U-Verse and the Roku Ultra device. I will be able to watch LSU-BAMA game on ESPN3.

Guys I tried to go through and read the threads but I'm not sure I found or understood the answer. I don't have YoutubeTV and usually I just stream the games on Youtube as they never seem to block the ESPN feeds. I have a friend that is a bit up there in years who has YouTubeTV and is afraid he is going to miss the Bama-LSU game. I'm afraid of telling him the wrong package or something...he is worried about ABC games. Is there a package or service that will cover everything. Like will Hulu+ do the job or is he going to need an antenna? Thanks I'll hang up and listen.

I have used Fubo successfully for several years. I added the app to my Apple TV pretty easily. I like how it automatically records Texas’ football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and softball games for me the entire season, when I select that I want to record “all games” for these Longhorn sports.

Fubo is set up well for watching sports games. Yes, Disney owns part of it, but that should be good for keeping sports broadcast on ABC or ESPN. If you wanted to to avoid all billionaires with views you may not agree with, without pirating channels, you won’t be watching much TV.

Fubo would likely be a quick and easy option for your friend and you IMO. Good luck!

I don't watch much sports. Just college football and basketball. I got all what I need and I don't have time to watch them all. I watch plenty of good TV programs and movies. I also do other things besides watching TV. Mine is perfect for me. I am not sure what other people preferred. Good Luck.

Sounds like you have it figured out. Pretty much the only sports I watch regularly are Longhorn sports. My daughter and her husband were ticked last Saturday when they could not get the Texas vs. Vandy football game on their YouTube service because of the contract negotiations.

I'm not tech incompetent, but 12 year olds are much faster than me on an iPhone. I grew up with 5 TV channels total, so I get a headache when just trying to watch my team play a football game gets too dang complicated, ha...

Tell him to get Sling plus the Sports Extra. He will get all the ABC / ESPN / SECN games.
I'm happy with You Tube TV. They have you any way you want to move. I have a farm that I go to that has HugheNet because it is remote. You Tube TV goes anywhere. So, I changed my ESPN+ (I have for college baseball and we even had a football game on ESPN+). I changed that to ESPN Unlimited or something and will cancel as soon as YouTube TV and Disney settle their fight. I still don't have our ABC local channel for news and programming but they carry the ABC live games. I understand the Golden Rule "He who hath the Gold, Rules" and Disney is that ruler and I can either go scream at the sky or enjoys some good football. Now, do y'all want to discuss tv commercials, reviews and number of penalties they ruin ballgames with? Totally different problem.

If he has YTTV and likes it, Sling has a $5.99 “day pass” that gets you full access for, as the name suggests, a day.

Sling day pass + sports extra for $5.99 will have all ABC and ESPN games. The ABC games are viewable as ESPN+ games with the pass.

I am able to pick up the local ABC channel with an indoor antenna. A Tablo DVR will record all over the air games.
