First keep in mind that every player on these teams makes more money than most people on this board.
So , no. It is not "sad" that Lane left them. They can dry their tears with diamond encrusted baby wipes.
Second, this is fricking awesome for the sport as a whole. Villains make great stories, and this single handedly elevated the magnolia bowl to nuclear hype.
Its a big fricking show, and yall are taking it too seriously. Think of all the great games that will be born from this shite.
The pettier it gets , the better . Lane vs Golden is gonna be fun.

I’ve actually been saying this. Actually, this is potentially a masterclass on how to create Americas most-watched rivalry by everyone involved.
If OM wins a natty and both teams manage to not suck next year, they’ll have 50 million viewers for the Ole Miss-LSU game next year.
That should, of course, translate to money and to recruiting and to transfers for both programs.
