I wouldnt put UT #1. It has really become difficult to recruit there. Mark Schlabaugh has said it several times that the job that Fulmer did there is so underrated. Dooley is not that bad, its just a tough place to succeed at now.

As I said in another thread, how is Tennessee any different from Oklahoma? Oklahoma has no in-state talent base either and rely heavily on Texas for recruiting yet they keep winning year after year.

UA != to Arky
UA == Alabama

It's hard for any coach at Aub to beat Saban on a regular basis which is a big part of the job.

How is AU different than any other SEC west school vs bama? Last time I checked, we won a title when we beat bama in the reg season.

Texas has plenty of kids to go around for surrounding schools. UTk does not have that luxury

We don't have Texas, but we have GA, NC, SC, and FL.

When the rest of the west loses to Saban it is just getting beat by a better team. At Auburn you have to beat Alabama to keep your job. That won't happen very often with Saban at Bama and coaches know that.

LSU fans wanted to kill Les after the NC game. Also, all they do is compare themselves to bama.

UT > the other two... Knoxville has a big pull for many reasons. I'd say Auburn isn't too far behind. I know the hogs won't like it but their location kills them.

My main point is you have to beat Bama as the coach at Auburn. That is hard to do consistently against Saban. No top notch coach wants that pressure while he is rebuilding a program.

When Saban leaves, coaches will be more receptive to go to Auburn.

Auburn might be 3rd.

TN is the best job of the 3, Arkansas has more cash than Auburn and new facilities that are some of the best in the country.

Aubie fans/admin treat their coaches like kings, then a little adversity hits and they turn on them in the middle of the night.

Tennessee is gonna be the more attractive job to 99% of unbiased coaches, followed by AU and then Arky.

But if it is me personally like the question asks, I'm putting Tennessee last only because I detest that town.

if auburn would clean house administratively, that would be my pick. good recruiting territory, situated between georgia(especially as long as ritcht is there) & florida and having pretty good pickings in alabama. loyal fanbase. the right guy could do pretty well there.

I'd give my left nut to fire everybody and hire tubs as AD.

I live in North Gwinnett county too. it's nice but Knoxville is just as nice + they have almost zero minorities. I saw a white dude doing landscaping at Knoxville.
