So someone with less yards and 10 less touchdowns on a worse team who will have a worse OL blocking for him is better than TJ Yeldon? Interesting. Explain.

Mike led the SEC in yards for half or more of last year. Then came the nagging injuries. Offensive line is better than you think.

And all-around he had a good season and has NFL potential.

Not referring to Davis. He is deservedly on this list. Referring to Collins.

Yeldon is a full year ahead of Collins. Wouldn't rank Collins higher yet but think he will be one of the best, if not the best, in the SEC eventually

And Yeldon had a much better year statistically than him in his Freshman season as well, as a backup.

It was better but i wouldn't say MUCH better. Alabama's OL was better and the passing game was 100 times better than what we had last year.

I already said he was better anyways

11 TDs as a backup >> 4 TDs as a starter

We hardly scored any TDs at all last year, and 3 of them went to our FB on the goalline.

Of course if Bama scored a lot more TDs then Yeldon is going to have more of them.

Yeldon only had 15 less carries than Collins so being a backup vs. a starter doesn't mean much. Plus Yeldon played against our defense in 2012 while Collins faced the Alabama defense last year

That's more of a reflection of the offense as a whole, not the RBs themselves.

There isn't a way to objectively judge running backs other than stats.

Montee Ball must be the best RB in CFB history then, he had 33 TDs in 2011

Except that you can statistically rank the defenses he faced.

So you'd agree that 2013's South Carolina, Alabama and Florida defenses were better than 2012's Tennessee, Arkansas and Missouri defenses?

Not sure why I'm even arguing why Yeldon had more TDs than Collins anyways...he played in two more games.

I already said Yeldon had a better freshman year surrounded by a better cast but it's not like he was leaps and bounds above Collins. Collins was the SEC freshman of the year for a reason.
