De'Anthony Thomas, yeah, you gotta have him in there, most def. He's Lache Seastrunk, but with playing time.

This might expand into a Top 10 list real quick...

Yes that is him De'Anthony Thomas. Snoop gave him the nick name Black Mamba in his city league he started.

That kid is truly a speedster and ball player. I really like him and will get a lot more playing time when LJ21 leaves for draft.

He looks to me as one of the top 2-3 fastest players out there, if not the fastest. Fun to watch.

On a side note, one could argue Michael Ford has as much chance of separating himself from the stable of running backs as Hilliard, and Les will always go with a stable if he's got a stable, so neither of their names will likely be tossed around in the offseason.

The obvious answer is Zach Mettenberger. 3500 yards 33TDs 10INT.

The stars have to align for a defensive player to get to New York. TM7 could have an All-SEC year again next year and not even get a vote. Also, punters will kick away from him the whole year.

I'll also throw out Robert Woods.

Thanks for not flaming me on my glaring omission. He got hurt so early, I totally forgot about the kid.

You've probably got 2 Hogs in the Top 5 discussion. Certainly Top 10. That's pretty damn impressive.

Great point. But I still think he'll bust 1-2 just like this year. That Arkansas return was the punter's fault. He kicked away from the designed coverage. He certainly won't be the last one to do that. Other coaches will kick it to Mathieu just to spite him. And they'll pay a price.

Mathieu is good for at least a couple TD's on D, too. If they give him an Offensive touch or two a game in a sweet spot where he's set up to score, it's not at all far fetched -- given his proven resume, his now pedigree -- that he won't be at the very least a Top 5 candidate going in.

Yup. And Barkley. There's already a movement sprung that he was wronged in not getting invited to NYC. He'll be right there, if for no other reason, that he plays in The Media Capital Of The World.

In no order, we've got Barkley, Watkins, Woods, Wilson, Davis, Thomas, Lattimore, Murray, Mathieu...

Then there's up and comers Lacy, Demps, Ford/Hilliard just from the SEC...

Definitely will be needing a Top 10 instead of 5...

3 potentials on our team if we have another year like this one.

Mettenberger - won't get enough passing as we'll be ahead too much + miles running game philosophy.

Hilliard - RB by committee isn't good for a heisman campaign regardless of skill.

HB7 - defensive player, punters will avoid.

So unfortunately we're pretty much out of it already. (long shot)

I'd be extremely happy if Mett has a Wilson-esque year where he finally got the call, and delivered. Had Arkie beaten Bama and/or LSU, he'd be on his way to NYC.
