Arkansas wins 3 games. Will be hard but we can do it

LSU gets less than 8 wins
A&M gets less than 9
Georgia and Texas are the top 2 in the SEC with potentially Bama being third
Somehow Josh Hoover is gonna win the heisman

Auburn will be a good team. I haven't typed that since 2017.

if you want to make a sig bet I'd be happy to. We don't win an sec or national title this year. Care to bet?
What exactly has he accomplished that makes so much of our fanbase think this is a championship level coach? He's good...but he's not elite. I stand by that. If you disagree. Bet me.
National title or bust is a ridiculous standard.
Since 2022, Sark has gone 8-5, 12-2, 13-3, and 10-3, won the Big 12, made the CFP in 2023 and 2024, and in 2024 won two playoff games before losing in the semifinal.
Even the “down” 2025 season still ended 10-3 with a Citrus Bowl win over Michigan.
He’s also 3-2 vs OU, including 49-0 in 2022, 34-3 in 2024, and 23-6 in 2025..
.. plus 2-0 vs A&M
And if your bar for “elite” is winning it all, then you’re talking about basically four active coaches: Dabo, Kirby, Ryan Day, and Curt Cignetti. I'd only trade him for two of those.
Wanting a title is fine, but acting like Sark hasn’t already turned Texas into one of the few programs consistently operating at an elite level is BS.

The bet should be on if he makes the sec championship or the playoffs.
I agree that he is overrated but he is better than the other guys Texas has had since Mac brown

I said sec or natl title. You don’t expect an “elite” coach, in his 6th season to win either? In 6 years? I’m not sure you understand what elite means. there are very few coaches who fit in that category.
Look at his record vs top 5, top 10 teams. In the last few years he is winless against both OSU and Georgia. An elite coach would not be winless in those game. Just ask Indiana what an elite coach looks like.
never said he was a bad coach. In fact, I think he's a good coach but elite? that's laughable. Next few years of treading water at 9-10 wins will prove it...but i do realize some of you need more time to see it. It's all good. Take a look at the data.
Steve Sarkisian career win % (~.630) is well below elite tier (~.750–.800+)
No national championships (elite coaches usually have at least one)
Only recent success at Texas—not sustained across entire career
Early head coaching stops (Washington/USC) were good, not dominant
Inconsistent perception—not universally ranked top 5 by experts
Limited wins vs top-tier playoff teams (the true measuring stick)
Bottom line: Good coach, trending up—but resume isn’t elite.
if you think he is, the next few years are going to be painful for you...but your optimism is commendable. Nothing wrong with it. You are just going to have to accept that not everyone agrees with you. Throwing insults because someone doesn't agree with you is grade school comedy.

Who was OU’s qb in all three of those wins? Did they ever beat OU when OU actually put a serviceable offense on the field?

This is actually realistic
It may not take 8 games. Our schedule is brutal. We open at home with a winnable game against ULM, but that road game at Minnesota that people have chalked as a win is a sure loss. Minnesota went 7-0 at home last year in the B1G.
at South Carolina and at home against Missouri are probable losses, then we get four definite losses in a row.
I think we should fire Lebby the week that we drop below .500, which will probably be Week 3 but no later than Week 5.
I have zero hope for a successful season.

Texas has never really amounted to much, college football wise, in the whole scheme of things. They haven't been historically dominant or anything and have very few NC's to show for their efforts.
I mean, really, they are on about the same 2nd or 3rd tier as teams like auburn or LSU. While Alabama has always had a hard time with them, for some strange reason, there really is no reason at all for their fans to have any type of expectations of greatness.
To listen to some Texas fans here, it seems like many of you consider yourselves to be college football royalty or something, which is ridiculous.
