Not to the best of my memory. I think they sold a bunch of stuff on their last night open.

It was a bar in Tuscaloosa when I was there.
It was in the same building as Solomon's, right on the end corner of The Strip nearest to the stadium.
I saw Widespread and Dave Matthews and Hootie and the Blowfish there before they hit it big.
Oh, and The Booth. It's gone, too, right?

Nah, same name, but The Varsity in T-Town was a little, shitty bar in the same building as Solomon's Deli.
OH - The Brass Monkey and Cycle Path.
These aren't really traditions, just good old school Tuscaloosa places that are gone now that The Strip is all commercialized.

the booth is gone, but moved downtown across from the new Innisfree. The Tusc was the venue, then something else, and now it is rounders. Cheap Shots is also gone from the strip. Only bars left are Gspot, Tooth, Egins, and Beartrap and Redshed are kinda new.

Math is not their strong point

Auburn traditions I can think of that are gone.
KA's Old South Week
The Flush (Sani-Freeze ice cream place) on the corner across Magnolia from Toomer's Drugstore
Tiger Time Diner
Yelling "Tiger Meat" at the opposing teams when the visitors locker room was under the south stands and the entrance was right under the student section

The Varsity diner was among the biggest disapointments of my life.

Watching a game from the railroad tracks at Sanford Stadium. This went away after the '80 season... I graduated in '79...

Tiger Rag because our student section thinks it has to be vulgar to be clever.

I'd mention LSU basketball but technically we're still fielding a team this year

I just thought it was really average. My Atl friends had built it up so much, and it didnt deliver.

I once went with some UA friends to the old Booth on a Sunday night to wait for it to open at Midnight. Good college dive.
