No matter where Oklahoma is, they're always gonna choke away the big game.

Michigan shouldn't be ranked higher than 7.

I think UW will be good, but I'm not sure they're a top 7 team.

Michigan was awfully close to putting together a GREAT season last year. I think they'll break through in year two under Harbaugh. They'll be in contention for a playoff spot by the end of the year if you ask me. But this was a preseason poll, and I didn't think they should be ranked there to begin the season. 6 or 7 is about right, IMO.

Big games with Michigan State and Ohio State this year. Three exceptional teams.

They were a play away from losing to Minnesota and Indiana and having a 5 loss season. They'll be fine because their schedule is soft as baby shite outside of OSU and MSU, but they aren't good enough to seriously challenge the playoff contenders

Honest question is Ok St really expected to be that much better this year?

They were also a play away from an 11 season, posted three straight shutouts (one of whom was against a top 25 team), and were undefeated on the road...all in Harbaugh's first year. I think that Michigan's performance last season was more impressive than Florida's under a first year coach...which the record ALSO bears out because Michigan CRUSHED Florida in the Citrus bowl 41-7.

Michigan is damn good.

Florida had quit by the end of the season, and while Harbaugh had a more impressive first year than Mcelwain, I don't know how much that means given how awful Florida were after Grier went out. Michigan will be a good team, but I don't think they're in a position to be a serious playoff contender yet. Too many uncertainties on offense esp. At QB and RB.

They lost at Utah as well

Utah is going to make some noise this year.
I would put them in my top 20.
