guess it's a bad time to point out that Bryce Young had a 59.1% completion percentage and a 133.7 QB rating in 2020, huh?
A very bad time. Maybe wait until a Bama fan is stupid enough to declare BY a surefire #1 overall pick.

What LSU fan declared Johnson was a surefire #1 overall pick?
That aside, odds are pretty good the No. 1 pick in that draft hasn't played a college game yet, unless my early-morning math skills are off.

I believe OP was just passing along a mock draft that has Max as the first overall pick

Yeah nobody in here said he was gonna be the #1 overall pick.
That being said you'd be hard pressed to find a single person in Tuscaloosa that would trade.

I didn't see anyone in here say it about Max either.
Bammers in the topic are melting over a mock draft.

not gonna happen
People said the same thing about Burrow after 2018. Max needs experience and to grow, but he defiantly has that IT factor.

Because Brennan was that good. Duh. We have 3 future number 1 overall picks at QB currently on the roster and are getting a 4th to sign next year.
Ah, of course. How could I have missed that?

Which they should be. Your inexperienced fricking qb should not be there.

Max is a straight baller. Plays with a ton of guts too. Y’all ain’t gonna like this kid verrrrrry soon….

No chance.

The thing that Russels My Jimmies is the fact that 3 of the first 5 picks are Bama players.
Congratulations LSU.
Congratulations LSU.

You could have Tom Brady back there but with that Oline...you can go ahead and put an L by Alabama.

"MAXXX is getting the respect he well deserves…."
Sounds to me like the OP is saying it as well. In fact, he's apparently well deserving to be considered the #1 pick.

Dude, he was a true freshman. I don't know what you expected out of an 18-year old playing under tremendous pressure in the weirdest season in our lifetimes.
Freshman stats of notable first overall picks
Kyler Murray - 59.5% completion percentage, 109.2 QB rating
Baker Mayfield - 64.1% completion percentage, 127.7 QB rating
Jared Goff - 60.1% completion percentage, 122.95 QB rating
Andrew Luck - 56.3% completion percentage, 143.5 QB rating
Matthew Stafford - 52.7% completion percentage, 109.0 QB rating
Carson Palmer - 55.3% completion percentage, 122.8 QB rating
There are a few who excelled as true freshman, those being, in no order, Jameis Winston, Sam Bradford, and Peyton Manning.
For 12 months LSU fans have been telling us that the 2020 season in which they hung on to a 5-5 record and their team really sucked, didn't count. It was an asterisk season. But now all of a sudden, they use this same 2020 horrible Covid football season to prop up Max Johnson's stats? You can't have it both ways. lol

Mock drafts, especially this far out, end up being extremely wrong. Walter Football in particular just throws whatever notable names they can think of. They’ll have guys projected in the first round (in too early mocks) that have barely played, and a lot of those guys in real life will not even come close getting picked to the 2nd or 3rd round much less first round.
Max Johnson may turn out to be a great player but a too early Walter Football mock draft is nothing noteworthy. You might as well have created your own mock draft with how pointless it is. I mean they have J.T. Tuimoloau who has yet to play a SINGLE snap of college ball going no.2 overall.

Gotcha. I wasn't sure what all went into that decision.

Didn't Brett Favre have a kid, or a cousin, or something that broke all of his old HS records about 5 or 10 years ago? What ever happened to him?
He had a nephew that was a walk-on a State then transferred to UT Martin. He was in the signing class of 2010. He was only like 5'9" so he wasn't getting a bunch of big offers to play college football
