Get rid of texas and we would. I (and most of us) absolutely detest the Big 12 and everything about it. But I (we) do miss the Big 8 schools.

I have NO desire to share a conference with Texas (or any of the other Texas schools for that matter) ever again. I wish we could recreate the Big 8.

ETA: Also OU too. They sold their souls to the texas devil. The Big 8 minus OU is cool with me.

There's good and bad for both of our fanbases. As much as I hate kU, I've had plenty of good-spirited encounters with kansas fans in my life. And of course, plenty of them are also (regrettably) my friends, since I grew up on the front lines of KCMO

At the end of the day, it's all just amateur* sports...it's not 1860 anymore

*for Mizzou at least

I hear ya. Living in KC, you're bound to have some ku friends. My ku friends are good people until ku enters the convo, then they are usually insufferable. I have a lot of clients in Lawrence too, and there on a regular basis. So when posters (like one in this thread) states how much better Lawrence is than Colombia, I know they're trolling and full of crap.

This has little to do with LSU, but the State of Louisiana is 48th in education.

I'm surprised it's not lower.
