The SEC Shorts Hope paid UGA back big time last season, and this year it was the Selection Committee. Let me preach on it.
The only team that could beat UGA last year was Alabama, and..they did in the SECCG. Here comes Hope on a White Horse stopping Okie State less than one yard from the end zone otherwise there's a real chance UGA sits home and never makes the playoffs after the beatdown they got.
But Hope isn't done! She pulls a Tonya Harding and whacks Bama ACL's ensuring a UGA win in the National Title Game. You nasty bitch.
Fast forward to this year. The Committee fails to drop TCU to Fourth as they should have done after they lost their conference title game, forcing UGA the top seed to play the toughest draw Ohio State.
Let's face it the best team did not win that game. Maybe Hope showed up one more time and made a very good kicker choke on a game winning attempt.
Had the Committee done what they should have done UGA gets TCU in the opener and very likely cruises, and we get the Big 10 rematch which Ohio State likely wins.
UGA's would you REALLY wanted to play the Suckeyes tonight to win it all? I think not.

Poor, poor, pitiful Alabama. All that recruiting and depth but they are the only one that dealt with injury.
All Alabama had to do was beat LSU and Tennessee. Last year was a rebuild year...this was THE year. And y'all crapped the bed and lossed twice.
UGA stumbled a couple times but I do believe tonight capped off a 15-0 season. We are not the same.

How bout not losing 2 regular season games. Apparently you have a better chance of making the playoffs if you don't lose 2 regular season games.

I don't see how you figure that. Cincy had a better record and was a Conference Champion.
