I did end up hearing one thing from one of my trusted guys. (However, to be fair no one saw schiano coming outside of haslam).

The plan is to get Gruden to give us a yes or no tomorrow. He knows that’s the deadline. We aren’t going to wait another 1-2 weeks trying to convince him. He either takes this Saban like offer with astronomical amounts of money for him and his assistants or he doesn’t. He told me it’s 50/50. Everyone is cautiously optimistic. Fulmer does have a good relationship with gruden so if it was to ever happen it’s now.

Les Miles is the most incompetent coach in America. I know that Tennessee has been making a complete and utter fool of itself in this coach hiring fiasco, but hiring Miles would be the ultimate fiasco of all. Don't get me wrong, I hope you guys are really dumb enough to hire him.

Me too. From trick plays, time clock management, eating grass, hat wearing, speeches, etc.. If nothing else he's an entertaining sumbitch.

Miles was quoted as saying he is open to experimenting with the spread offense scheme.

I'll believe that when I see it.

Per Pete Thamel, Les Miles is not a candidate.

Other names that could end up being bandied around are SMU’s Chad Morris, Toledo’s Jason Candle and Memphis coach Mike Norvell. Former LSU coach Les Miles is not a candidate.
