Because we said so.

On average, more talent does win.

Absolutely. But to use that as a reason Oklahoma will not lose 4 games is ludicrous. Oklahoma proved in 2022 that they are fully capable of losing to less talented teams. In fact, they have proven it in more years than not.

When you swing close talent combined with an away game it becomes more volatile.

I think I pushed back on his statement (In all caps) MORE TALENT WINS.
If he were smart he would have said "In most cases, more talent wins." Am I being picky? Probably, but almost every team gets upset every year. I would also venture to say if I checked I could find a game or two in which Oklahoma beat a more talented team....only Lincoln Riley tried to cancel all of their games in which they played more talented teams.

II wrote all that to say....yeah, you're right.

Talent wins SEC and national championships. Scheme and coaching are the other equations. Player development and being able to match up allow talent to take over.

I just described why the same teams are in the playoffs, every, single, year.

I can get behind this 100%. It takes all the ingredients. We tend to oversimplify things sometimes, but it takes a lot of things to win a title. And luck is one of them, if you don't have all of the other stuff.

Cherry picking eh? 2022 was a year 1...hell Kirby lost what 5 games year 1...

More talent wins UGA and Bama blue chip ratio and their success tells ya that. C'mon man. That was a dumb response.

Is there that much of a difference between 8-5 vs 9-3?

Anyways, we'll see and we'll let you know what we think if you suck.

Obviously, more talent wins in most cases. I didn't think I had to clarify that not in every case (Mich over Bama for example).

Otherwise, you would be hard-pressed to explain UGA & Bama's success. Blue Chip ratio has proven to be fairly accurate. My argument is based on that and the fact that there are only three teams with more HS talent than OU at this time in the SEC. So, assuming OU loses v UT, Ole Miss, Auburn, even texsa is based on other factors that no one has articulated yet. Is it coaching in your view? Newness to the conference? I mean, or is it just out and out emotional-based disrespect here?

All of this "OU is gonna lose because they lost to Kansas and Texas Tech and West Virginia and this ain't the Big 12 anymore" along with "Tennessee is gonna break it off in Norman and you guys (OU) also have to play Ole Miss (loss) and LSU (loss) and so on and so forth" -

is worthwhile reading, but you also omit the fact that OU, re'gardless of conference, has been in more national championship games and playoff games than:

Tennessee (at zero)
Ole Miss (at zero)
probably tied with LSU
not far behind Alabama
Georgia
Texas
Mizzou (at zero)

In the past 10-20 years or so.

So, keep on flickin your cigar ashes in our faces and doubting our program. Reality is about to set in on your asses as well.

Because you’re not playing Baylor, Iowa St., Texas Tech and Kansas every year now.

We've all heard what a surprise OU and Texas are in for this year, but OU will not lose to all five of those teams. Y'all are the ones about to learn something new. For example, you're about the hear Boomer Sooner until you're ready to spit.
