Defense. The SEC has always had very strong and physical defenses. You have never had one. You won’t be able to survive the physicality of an SEC schedule for a few years. At least.
This will be the question will have to answer. Are they ready to handle the physicality of the SEC? The 2 games to close the season against Bama and @ LSU may be more than they can handle. Time will tell.

Care to call your shot and point out the wins you'll get this year on yalls schedule?
I think with a young QB and the schedule we have 8-4 is a good season for this year but anything’s possible. I’ll be in Baton Rouge for the game. I’m really looking forward it.

Because you are not in the BIG 12 anymore.

MORE TALENT WINS.
Probably why
Baylor beat you 38-35 in 2022
West Virginia beat you 23-20 in 2022
Texas Tech beat you 51-48 in 2022
Kansas beat you 38-33 in 2023
because MORE TALENT WINS.

Untrue. B Stoops played any and everybody...go look at the schedule. Tenn came in for example.
1. When Tennessee was down. Really down.
2. Stoops has been gone for 7 years.
Lincoln Riley ran from the SEC when he was a Sooner and he is still running from the SEC. Prove me wrong, because i can sure prove my statement right.

Because OU sucks and the SEC is tougher than the Big 12. Your win total is 7.5 in Vegas with your coach in his third year. If you think the sharps in Vegas are wrong, you should take out a mortgage and bet on your Sooners.

Help me understand why people think OU will go 8-5 instead of their usual 10 win season? I can see 9-3 myself as an OU diehard.
Are you serious Clark?

They will win 2 of 3 on the road. MORE TALENT WINS.
Yall have 4 road games, not 3. At least get your shite straight before talking shite.
And I'd argue that you only have a talent advantage over 2 of those 4.

On average, more talent does win.
But there are 3 teams on OU's schedule with more talent according to 247's talent composite from last year, 2 other SEC teams OU doesn't play with more talent.
there are 11 SEC teams who were in the top 25 in talent last season other than OU. There were two in the Big 12 (Texas and TCU).
The next team talent wise from the Big 12 last year was Texas Tech at 40th. Every SEC team other than vandy was ranked ahead of them. Vandy was 58th, just ahead of Iowa State.
Talent does matter. But the SEC is much more taented than whan OU is used to playing top to bottom.
TT at 40th had 0 5-stars and 11 4-stars last season. Arkansas (the next SEC team above them) had 1 5-star and 27 4-stars. TCU (the next Big 12 team above Arkansas in talent) had 3 5-stars and 23 4-stars...or less total number of blue chips than Arkansas.
OU will still have a talent edge over all but 3-5 conference opponents most years in the SEC. But that's more than the 1 conference opponent they had that with in the big 12. And The next 3-5 after that will all be pretty close to OU in talent, not WAAAY behind them.

Damn. Just looked at both schedules & I’m ready for some SEC football.
& Sooners will be in Top 10.
it’s what they do.

Because the SEC was just the school you played at the end of your season. Now you’ll be playing us weekly.

I’m thinking 2 losses will still be good enough for SECCG.

Hey now, don't berate Ole Miss too much for playing Mercer.
Oh wait, you meant Oklahoma.
