Sure, and Auburn was curb stomped by UGA, lost to Clemson and UCF and Bama ended up whooping Clemson and UGA (once Tua was put in). Auburn was the furthest thing from a predictable, consistent team. There's no need to get mad about it

Auburn and LSU don’t have the National profile that bama does. Florida did with tebow. Auburn and LSU being good doesn’t do the same thing for the conference that Alabama being good does

Dude before saban resurrected bama they had very little national profile left. They had exactly 1 national title in just under 30 years when Saban won one in 2009. They were an after thought if they were thought of at all nationally, which frankly wasnt that often.

And as I just pointed out, the SEC was still winning a shite load of national championships even with bama being largely irrelevant for almost 30 years with few exceptions.

IF you have to have 2 losses on your resume, those are 2 good ones.

I remember. That was funny. After the Florida game.

2005 bama had a heck of a D with Demeco. But they definitely were not back in 2005. They did destroy UF though.

No we weren't back. I thought the cover was ridiculous at the time. That's not the point. (In fact it strengthens my point)

Yeah I know what you are saying but it neither hurts nor helps your point as I could easily argue Alabama was irrelevant so long that when they finally won a big game everyone was shocked and SI made a fool of themselves with that cover.

In reality 2005 bama was 2-2 against ranked teams unofficially, and 0-2 officially since the wins got vacated.

You assclowns didn't bring much here. You are ONLY here because Mike Slive was an incompetent moron. He locked the SEC into a bad long term deal and expansion wad the only way to break it. Deal with that fact. We all hate you being here. We get to play at East school once a decade now thank to you figs.

Aggie. Don't listen to AU, they and LSU know you are their biggest threat to 2nd place in the SEC West. You have a great fan base and overall athletic program and many SEC fans are glad y'all are here.

Dude, you’re kidding yourself if you think a good Auburn has the same impact on the conference as a good Bama. Auburn has a higher profile than LSU, but no where in the stratosphere of Bama

Ok. Bama had a 92 title, 99 SEC title, and 4 other trips to Atlanta in the 90s. Which is far more than Auburn accomplished. Everyone knows Bama was down from 2000-2007, yet they still had 2 10-win seasons, and a West title. And why do you think recruiting immediately skyrocketed to never before seen levels once we got a real coach?

Bama, like Oklahoma or USC or the New York Yankees will always have a bigger profile because it has been ingrained for over a century.

Toward the end of shula no one cared that bama was really good in the 1960s and 1970s. Bama had 1 NC in almost 30 years.

Yet the SEC was doing just fine with AU, UF, UGA, LSU and Tenn all winning titles (take your pick for AU of 83 or 2004, I wont say 93 even though we were the only undefeated team in the country).

As I pointed out already without bama the SEC would probably still have 11 of the last 15 national championships.

The SEC won 7 of 8 national titles right before bama kicked off their current dynasty in 2011 and would have won 2011 and 2012 even without bama.
