At worst it's even IMHO.

Who is the worst basketball coach in the league right now? The roster is incredibly deep.

Football? Pretty meh.

Way better.

The coaching on the football side is becoming very, very questionable imo.

Taking the yes. There isn't a bad coach in this league from top to bottom. Iron sharpens iron and this league continues to get better and better every year. I think 3 out of the 5 SEC teams that made it to the Sweet 16 validates that as well.

The worst/least proven coaches in the league are.....Billy Kennedy, Will Wade and Cuonzo I guess? Johnson? Drew? If that's your worst 3 that's a helluva roster.

Jim McElwain
Barry Odom
Butch Jones
Derek Mason
Kirby Smart
Will Muschamp
Mark Stoops
Hugh Freeze
Ed Orgeron
Bert Bielema
Kevin Sumlin
Dan Mullen
Gus Malzahn

This is the SEC coaching crop outside of Saban. I mean, really?

Looking at this list is almost comical.

Yea, no offense to him but when Dan Mullen is possibly your 2nd best league coach........thats an ugly roster.

Saban destroyed the SEC football coaching depth.

Urban Meyer, Les Miles, and Mark Richt were all championship caliber coaches that got fired or quit because of Nick Saban's dominance.

Again, if he's the worst in a league of 14 that's a pretty damn good league.

You can add Phillip Fulmer to that list as well to a much lesser degree*. That's 3 NC winning coaches and 1 who was really good. Crazy.

I would say Kennedy is easily the worst basketball coach in the league but there will be some guys weeded out.

UGA and Ole Miss will both likely have decisions to make here soon. You know what you're going to get from Kennedy and Fox, but if the league takes a big step forward are those schools going to be happy with what those coaches give you?

I think Kennedy is pretty damn solid fwiw.

I've always thought it would be interesting to see what Andy Kennedy could do at one of the schools typically considered in the Top 1/2 of the conference given their resources.

Andy Kennedy coaches Ole Miss. He literally has 25% of the NCAA tournament appearances in their program's history. He has 25% of their program's NCAA tournament wins too. He's doing fine.

Kennedy has 3 tournament appearances (7 total postseason, including CBI) in 22 seasons as a head coach.

At least 10 of the current SEC head coaches would have put the 2015 and 2017 teams in the dance.

Les was really at fault for his firing. He lost a lot of games the past few years. Several to teams that had no business beating LSU. His offense works when his O-line is dominant and his line regressed heavily after 2011. Then he fails to change it even a little. We saw the immediate impact of a more versatile offense when Ed took over against your team. 42-7.

Andy Kennedy? You could make an argument that he is one of the better coaches of the SEC. Winning at Ole Miss in basketball is almost impossible

Yes, basketball. Saban the only one left from his class. No more Meyer, Spurrier, Miles, Richt. Mullen has been around, but not in the upper echelon. Just a bunch of coordinators getting a shot.
