I was never told directly but I think an older alumni paid the dues. I know he rarely went to parties or did stuff on the weekend so he could work (in addition to playing football). He worked for a guy who cut grass during the summer and split firewood in the winter. Guy was a really hard worker. Say what you will about Clemson but Dabo is a great guy. Im glad he has had the success he has.

We have conference pride. Most of us just don’t consider Texas to be one of us. Texas was forced on us and we’ve gotten nothing good in return. Adding Texas and OU really fricked up conference scheduling. We are losing games with traditional rivals. And none of us are making any money from the addition of Texas and OU to the conference. At least with Missouri and A&M each sec school got more than ten million dollars when those schools joined us. Texas and OU brought nothing. Nothing except for annoying Texas trolls on the rant. Go Clemson!
