Tough to say. I think Texas is a good team but not a great sign they couldn’t beat Georgia’s worst team in 4 years with their backup QB who had like 13 pass attempts in his career.
Best win being an unranked Aggy team - i don’t really know what to make of Texas. On paper they look better than Clemson but not playing anyone all year usually bites teams in the arse.

In fairness, Gunner got lots of snaps in during our Orange Bowl seal-clubbing of FSU. (Granted, he was only 6/10 for 96 yds & 2 TDs, but still...)

He said they played nobody all year implying this would be the first time they'd face a challenge.
They played arguably the very best program twice.
They won't be caught off guard by Clemsons talent at all.

you noobs talked too much crap when you joined. You got the mother of all easy schedules and STILL couldn't win a title, all the while talking crap nonstop.

It's really not. The only reason we didn't 3-peat last year was because the Committee held the playoff without us.
If Texas hadn't beaten Bama, then we wouldn't have gotten penalized for losing to the Tide by 3 in the SECCG. If they let Bama in, then they felt they HAD to let Texas in by virtue of their H2H result. Keeping out UGA & FSU as was the only feasible choice, per the CFP committee.

I'd like to think that they meant outside of UGA, which would be true, but they'll have to clarify if that was their intent.

If you think losing by a missed FG in a close game vs another Top 5 opponent in the league Championship game is choking and the same as losing to Vandy and Oklahoma, then we have nothing else to discuss here.

My point is.....losing to really good teams actually does sharpen the steel.
They faced a top 5 team twice. That does prepare a team for good competition.
