Sure he wants talent, but he also had a personal relationship with some of these players and wanted to make sure they were taken care of based on the stupid timing of the NCAA rule change.
This is gonna make Lane Kiffin look much more appealing players in recruiting.

That’s exactly the problem, and it’s good you admitted it.
He sold out his conference, and all its member schools, for these guys.

He never broke a rule, peen glazer
That’s exactly my point. The SEC came down on him, even though he never technically broke a rule on behalf of the players.

Yeah he was trying to get NFL players because he has goodness and charity in his heart.

C’mon dog, they don’t fricking care the reason and we’re going to be the most hated team in the league for the foreseeable future. Just embrace the hate and move on

Then why did he quit on them before the College Football Playoffs?

Every time someone tells a lie about Kiffin,, a sack of kittens gets thrown into the river.

This is spot on and no one is gonna want to hear it and they are gonna say that Lane doesn't care about the players. Even if he doesn't care about them, it won't matter. Perception is reality and he can go into any living room now and tell kids and parents that he is going to fight for his players because that's exactly what just happened.

I think he cares about them to some degree. But it wasn't why he tried to bring guys back from the NFL.
Historically you can look to his exits at each coaching stop to see exactly how much he cares.

Yes
Because he will say he only takes the best and they will hear “he thinks I am the best”
