Any one listen this morning to College Sports channel on XM.

Tim Brown said he had texted with Gruden and Gruden said he didn't want to coach anywhere at college level.

A caller said Bielema was probably using Arkansas to get to his dream job at his alma mater of Iowa. Saying that going straight from one Big10 school to another is just not done, yet it would be fine if he came back from the SEC. Plus he gets SEC experience.

That makes much more sense. Of course Iowa is a dream job and Arkansas is a stepping stone.

Don't shoot the messenger. I just came here looking for the thread on it, didn't see one.

Now I know people think the SEC is better in every way etc, but I don't think the Arky job is really a great one. I didn't really think BB really went UP the coaching ladder and I think it is at best a lateral move

A lateral move that pays him more and give him more money to pay his assistants.

this is false...DaleDenton kept telling me that arky is a destination job.

a destination where they eventually get fired but a destination none the less.

So you slapsticks have been relegated to sourcing a caller on a call in show?

Jesus tittie Christ, how the mighty have fallen. You guys are reaching for anything to make yourselves feel better.

'twas a horrible purr.

Guys I'm not agreeing, just throwing interesting statements out there for the rant to rant about.

One thing the could be added is: the caller played D1 football and Tim Brown knew him. His friend, the source of the quote, played ball at Iowa. Bielema is an alumni and folks there seem convinced he'll be their next coach when the time comes.

I found it interesting because the SEC is where the best come. No one leaves here unless they're canned or go to the NFL.
