Question for the Gators...

Is Abruzzo still around and calling plays? I thought he sucked in the OC role last year. How much faith do you gators have in this guy?

Yes, Addazio is back calling the plays. He's an average OC, but we looked awful because we didn't execute, not because of Addazio. I would definitely rather have someone that's a skill position coach as the OC rather than an OL coach.

Adazzio is fine. UF was top 10 in total offense and scoring offense last year.

People at UF ALWAYS hate on the OC, ALWAYS. Mullenw as the guy that got blame for ANYTHING before he left.

UF will be better in week 2.

I agree, but I still think Addazio is just an average coordinator. I wasn't blaming last week on him in any way. That was pure execution.

i wish i could agree with yall. maybe i'm just too greedy, but i haven't been happy with mullen or addazio. remember mullen's spin chart for calling plays? and addazio has no business calling option runs for brantley. but i will wait to complain this year and reserve judgment until after the usf/tenn games. we'll see what happens, but i'm not expecting major changes as far as play-calling is concerned (hope i'm wrong)

It was bad, but give their QB some credit. He played the best game of his life and will have a good season. I heard the same shite about the Washington game last year from the USC fans and then Jake kicked their teeth in.

Freakin' PP kept running punts back to the opponent side of the field. Screwed LSU's offense out of a chance for long drives!

Pffft...had to settle for 1 play, 50 yd pass TD and 1 play, 50 yd run TD

DAMMIT!!!

Pouncey didn't exactly play up to that All-SEC Preseason label. I'm sure he'll get better and Florida will return to form, but that offense was just butt ugly.

Yeah, we sucked last week. Hard to get any offensive yards, when you have about 13 bad snaps, and four fumbles. No receiver blocking didn't help either. Hard to say anything about the play calling, with such poor execution.

BTW Pouncey played center last 5 mins of the Cincinnati game, and had no problems snapping the ball. I hope he is out of his own kitchen, because if he can't get over that atrocious performance, he should be moved to Rt guard again.

We get big Carl back, and Xavier Nixon. Robey should be able to play as well. Moving OL to their more natural positions should help tremendously.

Lost in our terrible offensive performance last week is that our defense was pretty darn good, and with a lot of room for improvement. Easley, and RoPo are going to be beasts. Bostic is the real deal at LB. The defense will give us the opportunity to win. Hopefully we will improve as games go on.
