Yes. And no candidate who planed on earning a $3m salary would bat an eye having the expectations of winning reinforced on his predecessor

Only if you have someone worthy lined up. You don't just fire them to be firing them. Then you will end up with such a mess like Tennessee.

Arkansas is the most attractive job in the country right now, just win a conference game and you will be a hero.

The problem for Morris is that he simply doesn't have the players at Arkansas to run his system. Bielema had a completely different style, and Morris has had to turn over the roster

Add a toxic locker room environment, and it's no surprise he is in this situation. It's like Fisher at A&M. I think the lack of TE's, and the losses on the OL have exposed some major weaknesses on A&M's roster

But we gave Fisher a 10 year contract, so there will be no excuses if he cannot turn it around. Morris will be lucky to even get a chance. He's still using the SMU QB for God's sake

Nobody cares what Arkansas does. Judging by the last two hires I’m not even sure if Arkansas cares what Arkansas does anymore.

For that answer, look to Texas keeping Mack Brown too long. It went from an elite contender to a complete rebuild that will still take several more years.

That's more about Texas being greedy, canning their most winning coach in a long time, and then making truly stupid personnel decisions on top of that

Arkansas need an identity. I tell you what, the turn around of lsus offense should make coach's uncomfortable.

It's proof what can be done with an offensive identity. A great offensive system just breathes so much Life into a program.

I think Arkansas may have there next head coach on staff already.rich rod man, He knows how to recruit the guys for that system. You gotta out scheme until u get the players.

Maybe Lsu got lucky cuz They have the guys on the roster already to make that change.

You either go rich rod,or the more I think about it, you get a young CEO type at head coach, someone like coach o, but young. He should be a great motivator, organized, a great recruiter, and needs to have a long term plan. Then you keep Chavis and rich rod, both can handle there side of the ball with experience.

Rich Rod is at Ole Miss but I know what you mean. I mean at this point, I'd take fricking Houston Nutt coaching with the Ed O CEO style you speak of.

LSU has so much more talent than Arkansas that isn't really a good comparison. Arkansas needs much better talent to have a good offense, period. Especially in the SEC

I would say there’s an obvious difference between bad personnel and bad coaching. Depends on what you see on the field.

If said coach was Chad Morris I absolutely would want him gone. The conference needs a better Arkansas and UT

Completely false.

Morris is a dumbass, has no offensive identity or system, and the play calling looks like a middle school gym coach is out there.

To me decent coaches are a nightmare for a University. Like Mark Richt.

You never appreciate going 10-2 virtually every year and winning a few conference titles along the way until you are starring down the black hole that is 4-20 in two years
