LP field is nice but too small. Lived in Nashville for 5 years, and hands down the cleanest nicest city I've ever been to.

The Georgia Dome is a dump.
The Superdome has always been a superior host site, even before the upgrades. Please tell me what other dome structures built in the 70's are still around and totally viable?
It is called the SUPER-dome for a reason.

That crossed my mind, while it is smaller than both the Georgia dome and Super dome it only holds two thousand less than the Georgia Dome.
I didn't read the thread title, I was thinking this was in regards to the SEC championship. No the sugar bowl should not be moved. The SEC championship should be moved to Nashville.

I like the big game being in a dome, but it would be cool if they would rotate it like the ACC does.

Or the Big twelve. It moves between KC and Dallas I believe there may be a third city.

With that change, I will agree. That city knows how to host.

What will be interesting to see, is if Atlanta goes through with building another venue where the Falcons will play. There is a huge piece of land (old GM plant) on the North side of Atlanta near I-285 and I-85 that is being discussed as a replacement for the Georgia Dome in the not-too-distant future. I'd be curious about how that will effect the SECC...meaning whether it is a dome, seating capacity, etc.

Ive been to both domes multiple times and after their most recent renovations.
Superdome >>>> Ga Dome.
Superdome >>>> Ga Dome.

if your idea of an afterparty is getting mugged off bourbon st., NO is your city
If you're stupid enough to venture off Bourbon St. into the darkness past where there is a crowd, you deserve to be mugged. Have been in New Orleans countless times...anywhere from after football games in the Dome, New Year's, and Mardi Gras. Have NEVER felt threatened because I have sense enough not to wander off the beaten path. This is pretty much the case with any major U.S. though, not just NOLA. Lots of psychos in the world and NOLA surely has its share but no more than anywhere else. The high crime rate attributed to the city is confined to certain areas and not the French Quarter, Garden District, Uptown, or Downtown. You can come up with all the statistics you want but take it from someone who has been there, done that multiple times. I'm sure, since this is an LSU board, there are plenty of Tiger fans who will back me up on this.

If you have been to both places, you can't beat going to the dome and then being right there in the middle of new orleans. The whole experience is definitely better than Atlanta even though Atlanta is a great city. I lived in Nashville for a year and that would be a very fun place to have it, but I don't think the after party would be that fun because it would be too packed. New Orleans and the location of the dome in the city is unbeatable for an event like that. Haven't been to the Georgia dome in a few years but I can say that the superdome is plenty nice.

It was at Reliant Stadium in Houston a few years ago, and I think might have been in San Antonio one time as well.

Thats what the SEC needs. Move The SEC championship yearly to cities like Nashville, Atlanta, Tampa, and New Orleans. I think the SEC basketball championships need to be held in Memphis at the Fed Ex Forum.

ON Bourbon st.???
Do you know how many cops patrol Bourbon st???
Seems hard to believe. Off of Bourbon st certainly possible but I have never seen anyone robbed on Bourbon. Fights and such yes but you would have to be pretty dumb to try to rob someone with all the law on that street.
