Must be a LSU coach
I went through ... Orgeron ... nah ... Sumlin? ... maybe? ... It could only have been Pinkle I guess but I know little to nothing about him except that he was a decent coach (for Mizzou).

Hahaha.
Something about imitation as a form of flattery.

Yeah he deserves a statue.
Mizzou to a #1 BCS ranking in 2007.
Back 2 back SEC East titles 2013, 2014.
Mizzou was basically Vanderbilt in 1999. If Vanderbilt won two SEC east titles and somehow managed a #1 ranking, yes, that is a big deal.

Mizzou was never essentially Vanderbilt.
Mizzou is and always has been a major university and the only real D1 football program in its state with two urban city centers.
Mizzou is nothing like Vandy, at all. The scale of potential isn’t even remotely close. fricking brutal attempt at a comparison.
Getting a team ranked for a couple weeks doesn’t earn you statues.
Winning championships does. He won nothing.
He also destroyed his own program and nearly killed the university that employed him for 15 years.

Do you think Pinkel should have pulled the scholarships of all the protesting players in 2015 and have that used as a recruiting pitch against Mizzou for the next 3 decades?

That was a no-win situation there was not a single positive thing to do other than support your players.
You can go f*ck off.

If I’m Texas 8&4 I build a statue for Jimbo right now
Our plan right now is as soon as Jimbo wins us a natty in a couple of years, We are going to build a new domed stadium that holds 250,000 and put a statue of Jimbo on top that will be bigger than the Statue of Liberty. When we win a natty, they are not going to be able to print money fast enough for all the donations that are going to be coming in!
It's good to have the largest former student association in the world.

Is this a prediction for the Brian Kelly era?
