Pinkel, 69, was 118-73 at Mizzou with four appearances in conference championship games and 10 bowls. He guided the Tigers to the nation’s No. 1 ranking during the 2007 season and twice had the Tigers one win away from playing for the national championship in 2007 and 2013. He’s also the career wins leader at the University of Toledo, where he was 73-37-3 from 1991-2000. When Pinkel surpassed Don Faurot as Mizzou’s career wins leader in the 2014 Cotton Bowl, he joined Steve Spurrier (Florida, South Carolina) as the only active coaches who were career wins leaders at two FBS schools.
frick yeah!! Pinkel FTW!!!

0 conference championships
The bowl comment in that hometown publication ignores the fact there used to not be many bowls, probably because a 22 year old intern wrote it. Completely invalid point.
Winning some big12 north titles after nearly a decade of losing records and then getting smashed in the conference finals isn’t statue worthy.
It’s weirder to chase someone around regarding a school you’re not even a fan of than to do what I’m doing. Just a perspective pinch for you.

I think that’s your intended goal.
You are clearly an overweight person.

What does that have to do with statues built a hundred years later?

Agreed. He’s a solid dude:
quote:
"He's a consummate servant leader," former Missouri athletic director Mike Alden said of Pinkel on Tuesday. "... I think that's truly a transformational leader. When Gary deflects like that or talks like that, that isn't just verbiage, that's who he is. And he is literally a servant leader to the core."

You’re spending your time googling and posting things about a coach from a school you’re not a fan of bc you think it’s upsetting a person you don’t know on the internet.
By your logic I fricked your girlfriend.

A great man?
cheated on and publicly humiliated a terrific wife who was a huge reason for his stability prior to his program collapsing under his feet.

You're very welcome my friend. Nothing brings opposing fans together quite like a great coach and even better man

Former Missouri head football coach Gary Pinkel on Thursday joined others in celebrating the delivery of 2,600 books to first- and second-graders in five Columbia Public Schools.
Upstanding Leader

Leader drove hammered while asking those he’s leading to not do the same.
Leader ruined his own family while preaching the importance of family.
Imagine thinking you’re upsetting me while defying your own logic that I fricked your girlfriend.
