It’s interesting because the SEC Recruiting board manages to stay pretty troll free. Mostly because others don’t put up with it and it’s well moderated. But it was also established that way.

It could be done by being self-moderated like the recruiting board and team boards by all the good posters running off the trolls and not biting on any hooks. They would all eventually stay over here. It would just take alot of self control by all the good posters to ignore the bad ones.

It's a great idea that I would love to see happen. I just don't think that its feasible. There wouldn't be threads on the "non-troll" threads longer than two pages because the trolls would infest every thread. I like where your head is at on this one though. I wish this board had more posterd like you. It would be so much better.

Moderation aside, why would someone choose to post on the designated “non-jackass” board when they could post on tSECr?
Wouldn’t someone who wanted to stir the pot choose to do so with the other pot stirrers and not on a board where they’d be all but ignored?
Again, I don’t even think the alternate board would need much moderation.
If folks over there didn’t respond to the “Gayturds,” “figs,” “Cajun trash” comments, the muck would take care of itself.

You just outted yourself as a non-troll. Trolls want to disrupt the serious stuff. I will give you an example. In Fantasy Football mock drafts, people actually wait 5 to 10 minutes to get into a draft just to take a kicker in the first round to disrupt the draft and piss people off. That's what trolls want.
