Orgeron beat him because of better talent. Gus with LSU talent would be a pretty good hire IMO

...until Gus recruited down to his normal level: no OL but 6-7 4 star receivers and 5 4 star RB, then 4 transfer through the season.

Auburn and LSU talent is very close. And Gus lost to plenty of teams that didn’t compare to Auburn’s talent.
