Maybe.

We ceased playing for 40 years over ticket sales. We are fine with playing other teams for a while.

This rivalry isn't complicated...it's just really really tense sometimes. Things happen.

I would love a break from their fans, but I absolutely love the games. But for them, you can't have one without the other because their fan base is pure white trash...while their football team is pure gold as far as what you would want your own football program to be.

Gold and pennies don't mix.

Sure. Who would our permanent west team be though? LSU? Sign me up. UGA, UF, UT and LSU every year to give up bama?

Damn right!

That is so insulting to call an entire fan base "white Trash". Please, the only reason that Auburn wants to move to the East is because the teams are so good in the West. Bad thing about that is the teams in the East are coming back and then where would Auburn go so they could win.

Bama - absolutely not......they love to remind AU who the real king of the state is.

AU - Well it's not even our best rivalry and being in the East makes more logical sense and what not.

If Auburn could move to the East and avoid playing Alabama every year they would do it in a heartbeat

Florida, Georgia and Tennessee can be absolutely dangerous when they want to be. History has proven this in the past when mighty LSU and Alabama were treading water in 5 and 6 win seasons year after year. Those same East teams that are weak this decade may just become powerhouses again in a mere 5 years from now.

Auburn knows this...because we have played them for over 120 years.

I don't think that we are scared.

Auburn played Florida every year when they were a shell of what they became in the 90s. Don't act like they were a SEC powerhouse since inception.

If Auburn stopped playing in the Iron Bowl, people around the country wouldn't even know what state Auburn was in 10 years from now.

Oh please. The reason AU fans are clamoring to get to the East is because of long standing rivalries that went by the wayside years ago because the SEC decided to adopt 4 orphan children nobody wanted.

Ole Miss was fun for a couple years after Tubs and the pinebox. Moo U was fun after Cam told them to frick off. Arky has been kinda fun with their philandering piece of shite ex-coach, and their now morbidly obese coach. LSU was fun when Tubs was around for a few years.

None of them compare to UGA, UF and UT in terms of what Saturdays in the fall are supposed to be about for AU fans. Let us keep LSU, and we're golden.

UT is a shell of what they once were. Want to stop the TSIO rivalry because of that bullshite reasoning?

The non Alumni portion of your fanbase, otherwise known as the 99% , is pretty embarrassing. I believe that is what he meant

I want games that are reasonable driving distance and against historic programs.

Arkansas, Ole Miss, Grinders and Aggies does nothing for me and 6+ hours drive. LSU is 6+ hours too but at least good game

Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and South Carolina are all more exciting and at most 5 hours drive. Vanderbilt is only 5 hours too and in Nashville which

If Auburn gave up the iron bowl they would quickly become as irrelevant as Missisippi State. The one thing keeping that football program alive is the iron bowl. Thank God we are such a great program and give them a little time on national tv.

I want quality games, against people AU has history with and that is shorter drive distance.

There is no way I'm driving 11+ hours to Fayetville or College Station for a game and flights aren't easy to get there either. Oxford is fun but I hated StarkVegas.

Auburn fans like to beat their chest because they played Florida every season for years. I'm just pointing out that Auburn wasn't playing Spurrier's or Urban's Florida back then.
