Would AU still be in the MNC if the LSU & UGA outcomes were switched?

For shite's sake, say AU beat LSU but didn't hit the Prayer at Jordan-Hare...would the late season loss have Michigan State in the show, or do you think a 1 loss SECC would still get the nod? Keep in mind how voters would react, not SEC message board bravado. No reason...just late night curiosity on my part.

They'd still be in, the Bama upset was what got them in

Can't lose in late Oct. If that happened I would say we drop to 8 and then wind up 5 behind #4 bama even after beating them. BS but that's the way it would've happened.

If it makes you feel better, I can sit here and drink beer all night if I want to and not have to worry about being up.

To answer the question, I think we still make it in, but the margin would probably have been closer.

We'd have been most likely 3, maybe 4 going into the UGA game. You're right that we probably would have dropped to around 8. Wonder if beating Bama and Mizzou would jump us six spots in 3 weeks.

Yes. Who deserves to be rank ahead of them? Michigan State, a team that was the best team from a trainwreck of a conference and lost to Notre Dame? Or Baylor, a team that lost by 32 points and also played in a weak conference?

Yes, but MSU would have lost the 4th week of the season...AU would have lost the 11th week. AU gets a lot of credit for getting better every week...MSU would have that talking point.

So we MIGHT have dropped to #8 after losing to Georgia. MSU was #10 going into the Big 10 Championship. After we beat Bama, we're in the top 5. After beating Missouri, we would never have been jumped by a #10 ranked Mich. St. team.

I'll change your question to make it interesting:

If UGA beat Auburn
and Auburn beat Alabama

what happens?

well, Alabama represents the west in the SEC CCG and most likely the MU/Bama winner is in the BCS NCG

Michigan State would still not get a chance

I call bullshite. LSU lost to Arkansas in the last week of the season for their SECOND loss and still got in. You never know with this system.

I wish, but my opinion shouldn't be taken seriously on that
