Check out the money loss to the SEC, not just LSU but any of the top tier teams leaving will hit the SEC hard.

Brand is a big deal and when 3 of your top 10 games in college football in the last decade have included LSU it is a big deal, plus the SEC will begin to be sued left and right by players on appeal. They screwed up with Chambliss decision and doing nothing to prepare for this.

Did they think no other player would want the same Chambliss deal? Did they think that players that went to the draft who could have got the Chambliss 5 year deal were just going to roll over and do nothing?

This is a right to work issue and the SEC and NCAA is just knee jerking decisions that will not hold up in court and will lead to other suits down the road A LOT OF THEM.

You already seeing the cards fall, Texas has a player. Drinkwitz is concerned because he has 5 questionable players who are in limbo now. You have 3 courts that have stood up to the NCAA right now because of the law of the land.

If the SEC decides to punish LSU, the counter suits from individual players will bury them for decades. The minute one of the player's wins, LSU will follow with a counter suit and because Texas just allowed and NFL player on their roster they will have to do the same.
