Would a Jimbo Fisher-coached LSU team have benched Harris in 2016?

LSU actually did. I don’t want to hate on Harris but he never played well. Miles certainly did him no favors either.

In fact, let's compare Brandon Harris Sophomore season to Kellen Mond's freshman season (year before coaching change):
Harris (2015): 149-277-6 for 2165 yards and 13 TD, 67 carries for 226 yards and 4 TD <9-3 record>
Mond (2017): 117-227-6 for 1375 yards and 8 TD, 89 carries for 340 yards and 3 TD <6-4 record/5-3 as starter>

Mond just needs more time.
The extra year of eligibility is great for a guy like him.

The funny part was Gary and brad saying how great Mond was. Said he couldn’t carry the team by himself.

Harris was benched by Miles though that year.

Just now saw this. Harris was so much worse than anything you’ve seen from Mond in those 2 games that anyone would have replaced him.

Mond just threw for 318 vs Bama 3-1 TD -INT ratio. LSU was pathetic vs Wisconsin and was trailing and hardly getting first downs vs I wanna say Jacksonville State? .... Not the same situation.

2015 Harris >>>>>>>> 2017 Mond (who went 3-17 in his debut, was benched against Nichols State and trailed UL Monroe at the half)

Les Miles ruined Harris by running an offense where the QB only passes in obvious situations and into super tight windows on the sideline.
Don't think Jimbo would have done that, so it is difficult to know whether Harris might have developed differently. It is certainly possible -- the kid had a really good arm.
