I really wanted UT to win its bowl. But at the end of the day it’s hard to take much from a game missing most of our best players

Most people don't know that only SEC teams are affected by opt outs.

Bowls dont really mean shite anymore, a lot of times it seems like the team with less talent has the edge because good players are opting out so much.

I don't think you understand sarcasm or calling out hypocrisy. If the SEC's depth is as superior as SEC fans say it is, then a few opt outs shouldn't let teams from inferior conferences beat them. Checks notes...SEC had a horrible bowl and playoff record this year.

Maybe the conference should quit pushing weak, unqualified teams into the playoffs. SEC perceived SOS definitely took a hit this bowl season. Three loss teams do NOT belong in the playoffs. Two loss teams need to have a strong out of conference resume.

heard one media guy say to move the bowl game to the first game of the next season.
At least we’d not have opt outs everywhere

I’d agree but bowl games are meaningless now and not an accurate gauge imo..
Except this has been the excuse ever since SEC teams started "not wanting to be there".

Kind of hard to overcome when you pair up SEC teams in these matchups.

Tell me about the material opt outs in the Vandy-Iowa game and whether that made the difference?

As much as I would like to see ole piss win it all, it just isn’t going to happen. They played there best game they will ever play Thursday night. I don’t see them repeating that performance again. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think so
Counterpoint: Carson Beck and Mario Cristobal will need 3 clean games in a row to beat Ole Miss.

OK, you have jumped the shark. Now you are claiming Vanderbilt, a team that has never played in one of the high profile bowls since color television could not get up for playing Iowa? Seriously?

That attitude is exactly why Islamo-Marxist Communist NWO Globalists are being allowed to take over this great country this very moment.
When did we stop wanting to win everything?
Was it Gen X or Millennials?
(Inb4 Boomer hate)
Let's do this. Let's adopt a common mantra.
Win them all, win at all costs. Take no prisoners. Protect the homeland.

Yes. Bowls don’t mean much anymore. It’s play off or bust. I wish it wasn’t this way but it is

Other than the CFP bowl games are meaningless and the coaches and players no longer care. With transfer portal and hold outs for bowls the SEX players and many others just don’t care. Oklahoma,Texas A&M both had easy schedules and Alabama with 3 loses didn’t belong there either.Georgia and Ole Miss were the only legitimate candidates this year.

Not wanting to be there is the biggest bullshite excuse I've ever seen...So all the schools beating our arse wanted to be there....But the SEC teams didn't?!! What a crock of pussy shite.
Posted on 1/4/26 at 9:34 pm to StansberryRules
For the SEC's sake, let's pray for OleMiss!!
