Is anyone really even pushing Sam Leavitt for this title? Maybe KJ Jackson at Arky

Leavitt is at the top all by himself on this one.
Matt Flynn and Jacob Hester do a film study podcast every week after the games. Leavitt missed so many WIDE OPEN easy reads according to Flynn.
So that means either he makes adjustments and we become a dangerous team again or he's just a shite QB and he'll be benched by halftime against Aggy.

Leavitt may have had open receivers but he was under a ton of pressure. Will Echoles made the left side of their OL look like HS kids. Kam Franklin and Blake Purchase got a ton of pressure as well.

Leavitt will end up with similar stats he's had his entire career, which will put him at or slightly above middle-of-the-pack.
I bet he plays up to the 4th against McNeese to pad a bit.
End of the schedule is going to be unpleasant unless he improves a lot.

I'm not a PFF disciple but LSU's LG had a pass pro grade of 12 per PFF. I've never seen a score that low. While it can be done, it's really hard to scheme around that kind of pressure. Echoles probably played his way into the top half of the 1st on Saturday.

I should've said Mateer is 49th out of the top 50, but there might be a few below him. I didn't look that deep into it. Probably Arkansas' QB is lower.
