Chris Capps was the most futile player I ever had the misfortune to watch on television or live in Bryant-Denny. I'll never forget his legendary performance against Auburn in 2006 - his final bow inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. The fans booed him before the game when they introduced all the seniors, something I got very pissed off at. But my anger towards the fans disappeared when, on two consecutive drives, he let his man go right through him. Both times John Parker Wilson got hit and fumbled the ball, both times Auburn recovered, both turnovers led to Auburn touchdowns.

In the end I should probably thank Capps for accelerating Shula's demise, but that's still difficult to do when you think about how bad he herp derped in 2005 and 2006. Legendary suckage.

I didn't know you are a golfer Larry. I always thought of you as a swim enthusiast....

The reason Foster was on the field missing FGs is b/c your Offense didn't put it in the end zone.

This is a true statement, but it is also simply impossible to ignore the fact that Foster finished his Alabama career having never made a kick that really mattered.

Since 2011, Alabama's had 6 games where they lost the game or won it by a touchdown or less. In those games, Foster was 2-10 for a blistering 20%. In all other games during his Alabama career, he was 23-34 - 68%.

The only thing more reliable than the sun rising in the east was Cade Foster choking in the clutch.

Absolutely, Welter's better than Hatcher was. I shudder to remember.

Toss up! I think Hatcher lasted because he was a decent tackler of Welter's missed assignments. SInce he did indeed miss most of them, it made Welter look ok for sucking...but them 2 together was hard to watch.

Then again, can we start a thread on who takes the worst tackling angles in the history of the game? HANDS DOWN there has never been a worse db at taking angles than Hatcher....my GOD that Arky game before half still makes me vomit in my own mouth...HE WAS HORRIBLE!

Jake Holland wins this by such a wide margin.

I think Danny Mcray got burnt more than any db in lsu history. He as terrible in college and has actually had a decent pro career.

Spencer Pennington started a lot of games when Brodie was out and he was god awful. He was bad enough to be replaced by the likes of Marc Guillon and Brandon Avalos.

Pennington played like 3 seasons of football for the tide. every year he would be drafted in the MLB draft, but never signed. then in his senior year Spencer decided to play baseball for the tide. After his season of playing baseball, the MLB didnt draft him.

If either Jarrett Lee or Jordan Jefferson started a full season I would say either one but I don't think either one did. They were both pretty god damn miserable to watch.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Mark Beard started ANY games at left tackle for the Dawgs. He is slated to start at left guard this year though.

Fits better as a Tampa 2 safety. It plays into his strength of trailing a WR

afer reading the descriptions and watching clips, I'm thinking hookfin has a strong case for winning (or losing?) this category.

and the other lsu names mentioned, lee, jj, welter, hatcher, don't even come close to hookfin. people have short memories. although I will say McCray was exceedingly bad.
