Precisely. It was on the defense. Also, the running game was plenty good enough that game. Johnelle being a moron and the defense seems fair. Take out the sacks and they were cruising. Hell, Denise was up over 7 ypc
So, which part of that eloquent response makes Arkansas 2012 the worst defense in SEC history?

In their first eleven games, Tennessee allowed 37.6 PPG scored on their defense. Vandy in '78 and '79 allowed teams to score 38 PPG on their defense in eleven games. The difference is not much. The extra game actually helped bring down Tennessee's PPG average.
I'm not sure we are communicating. You are doing it wrong. You don't eliminate one of UT's games. You either compare averages or you subtract out UT's average performance from their point given up.

If you are so hard-headed that you refuse to listen to anyone else, just why did you make this post in the form of a question?

as for number of big plays given up (RB taking it to the house, long bombs) nothing comes close to 2012 UT D.

The part where you can't read what was said (go back and read the posts, on second thought, don't bother just give up.), made an irrelevant incorrect argument, and the part where you don't know when to cut your losses and keep arguing something that no one cares about because you can't just admit that you were wrong to absolve the defense because Wilson got hurt when they puked up a 21 point lead.
All that said, if your next post isn't, I completely agree with you, don't bother, because I was the only person who cared and now I don't. So just stay on topic, governor.

I was simply arguing against your hyperbole. Yeah...Vandy's defenses in '78 and '79 were bad - perhaps the worst in SEC history - but the 2012 Tennessee defense hardly looks like the '85 Bears in comparison. That's just stupid. Tennessee's '12 defense is definitely in the discussion.

2010 and 2011 OM were far worse than 07. At least in 07 we competed.

Kentucky had a pretty awful defense this past year, but the offense is where we really suffered. Good God! Saturdays were painful in the fall.

Looked pretty good against that Orange garbage that littered Dudley Field last November.

Apparently you're too stupid to read two consecutive sentences.

GOAT SEC Defense
1899 Sewanee Tigers
1899 Sewanee Tigers
quote:
The (undefeated) 1899 Iron Men team's most notable accomplishment was a six-day period from November 9 to 14 which is arguably the greatest road trip in college football history. Manager Luke Lea put together an improbable schedule of playing five big name opponents in six days, outscoring them for a total of 91-0, including Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, and Ole Miss. Sewanee played and shut out them all while traveling by train for 2500 miles. This feat, barring fundamental changes in modern-day football, can never be equaled.
