I honestly think Menzie just lost the ball and did not intend to do what he did, but this was bad enough he should have probably been ejected.
Oh damn, I don't even remember that. Did he even get flagged? What the frick is Dre doing?

Long time ago before replay... Auburn receiver

quote:
scores a TD, Bear storms on the field point to a spot out of bound, the ref calls the touchdown back...replayed showed the guy was in bounds, but Bear owned the officials back then..... Also some nice spots, we always only had to go 9 yards, the opponents 11.....

So much of that statement pisses me off but whatever.
I feel this way many times.

As a Mizzou fan, I don't understand.
I'm sure there's been some plays go for us but I can't remember any. After suffering through the 80's and 90's as a Missouri fan I think most of us felt snake-bit because it always seemed to be the bad calls went against us. Many of us probably sat and wondered what would go wrong next when we had a lead late in the game against a good team.

Mizzou only has 1 I can remember, #1 Ohio State (1976) got defensive holding call on 2 pt conversion @ Columbus with 12 seconds left or so, Mizzou got 2nd try and won by 1.

Phantom Pass interference call.
bullshite personal foul on one of our D Lineman
First time I've ever heard of a Referee crew getting suspended. They deserved much more. Mark Curley is the fricking devil and a retard
What's sad is you missed 3 more.
A no call on Riley Cooper. He fricking tackled our DB.
Delay of game wasn't called on a field goal that was counted good for them.
Also, Tebow was at least 2.5 to 3 yards short of a first down and he somehow got it.
Those refs will burn in hell for taking money one day.

Yea kick catch interference, but usually if you blatantly hit a guy like that Arkansas guy did in the Vandy game you will get ejected.
Dre is just like what the frick man! We had UF pinned at the 7 on a great punt and Menzie gives them 15 free yards.

Have no auburn fans mentioned Curtis brown catching the ball in the endzone late in the 4th quarter of the iron bowl for the win and being called out of bounds?
I still remember the Selma times jjournal that Sunday with a picture of brown, ball secured, foot in bounds with the headline "Alabama touchdown"

Bama baseball in T-town vs LSU, 1 out bama down by 1, runner on third. Deep fly ball runner tags up and scores. LSU appeals to third and actually get the call. Split screen shows he didnt leave early. I was there place went nuts. Great day for the tigers

This was not as cut and dry as you make it out to be. The ball is touching his hands, but it is not "secure"... if you can find a video you'll see that he doesn't fully secure the ball until he's out of bounds.
As for bad calls for Auburn, there was a play in the Clemson game in 2010 where Cam threw a pick in the front of the endzone, the CU DB is running out of bounds right along the goal line, clearly makes the catch, and they spot him at the 1-inch line when I thought it was a pretty clear touchback.

I don't know if it's been posted but the excessive celebration against Georgia resulting in the short kickoff
Karma bit us in the arse this season when Wing went super punter against Florida.

You obviously have trouble seeing clearly.
The slow motion replay showed the ball moving as the receiver was falling to the ground. The ball turned over in his hands and was stripped away before the offensive playe's shoulders/back hit the turf.

In recent memory I would suppose LSU/UT 2010. The center was the only one who had a clue. In Dooley's defense, time to get guys on/off field is a legitimate issue but ref decided time was enough. CLM's shamrock supply is apparently endless.
As a sidenote the only time I was deeply disappointed in Les for throwing JJ under bus after game. Not a coaching mistake which is forgivable but a poor show of character. That being said, if that's the worse thing he ever does, Gawd bless him.
