Both were (assuming he takes the job) replaced by Scott Woodward.

Discuss.

Y'all like ppl with names that relate to sex somehow.

You got Hyman from the Cocks and now there's Woodward. I see why the Aggies would prefer Wood to Hyman, though. Much better suited.

Hyman wasn’t bad here. Maybe it’s an A&M thing

I'd be stunned if Woodward came here. I know he's from here, but the A&M AD gig is better right now if only because of the LSU administration starting at the president's level and working up. Not sure why Woodward would want to walk into that craptastic level of interference and confusion.

The president of the university is still in place, and the president of the BOS will still be in place, along with the idiot the people of New Orleans elected governor. If he doesn't get re-elected, it will still take a while to clean house because the university president's contract isn't up for another four years.

Alleva is only a symptom of the problem, though he needed to go. He either didn't get stuff done, botched PR in crisis situations or both. His news release scolding Wade on Sunday night was typical Alleva. No awareness of PR, and his PR flack obviously is either clueless or Alleva doesn't listen to him.

For me it seems like Hyman tried his hardest with us to get the pay day he did at A&M

He’s from the area and he was getting old

He got the nice fat pay check, made a hire then realized he didn’t have to try much anymore and he’d get paid regardless

I'm hearing from a damn good source, as in one who knows and has known Woodward personally for many years, that it's John Sharp all the way. I'm being told Sharp is an egotistical ***** who takes every opportunity to condescend to everyone, and has refused to give Woodward a raise. It also sounds as if Sharp has the Regents wrapped around his finger, so they'll do whatever he says with zero push back. The Regents could easily fire Sharp but don't have the backbone to do it.

It is absolutely true that Woodward is building a million dollar home in Miramont and plans to stay as long as we'll have him, but will leave it all behind to get away from Sharp. Woodward has said something along the lines of 'there is no amount of money to make up for the disrespect suffered at the hands of John Sharp'. Sharp's response to the Jimbo and Buzz hires was, basically, that anyone can hire a person if they throw enough money at them. Well, I know for certain that's what successful businesses do every day, John, offer big money to the best of the best.

Sharp is viewed as Hitler by everyone who works for him and his arse needs to be gone before he drives Aggieland into the ground, no question about it. Make no mistake, Jimbo and Buzz won't be far behind if Woodward leaves, and you can blame that on Sharp, too.

John Sharp in the A&M system chancellor and has been since 2011.
