Lady Vols make it right and walk off UCLA

UCLA gave up a leadoff double. Then got one out. And then intentionally walked the next 2 batters loading them up. Next batter single game over. Why walk the 2nd one to move runner to 3rd? Stupid.
At least this way Tenner doesn’t have to whine for the next few decades, won it straight up. Much better to win like that than by a technicality.

Dang, does UCLA feel better losing on a walk off than they would have on a base running error?

I feel worse because now it's going to be hard to throw pickens again because we have to pretend that throwing a ball underhand puts stress on an arm. Player safety and all.

OU hasn't forgotten how to leave runners on base. Very disappointing start.

She sure was. That's a relief to see her homer.

On the other hand, 7 left on base thru 3 innings.
9 LOB yesterday for the whole game was a killer. They're easily outpacing that so far tonight.

There is no denying it, our hitting has been down this season. We're really young though. Patty gets some more ace pitchers to transfer in and gets these youngin's hitting better and more confidently, OU isn't going to fall off anytime soon. We have back to back #1 recruiting classes coming in the next 2 years too.

Big fan of Landry's weight shift before she starts her pitching motion

She's got some torque in there with it!
It is cute too.

The future looks bright for sure. I'm hoping for a catcher next year as well....or I should say Wells, the incoming freshman. And surely one of the incoming pitchers will be great.
Good on Emerling for her hitting tonight, but she's the worst starter at any position I can remember for OU in a long time. Erickson and Nugent not wanting to wait out Hansen has fricked us this year. That's how it goes though.

Yeah she's no K9, but there will never be another K9. Kinzie was Legendary level.
