When she's batting i count it as a win if she fouls a ball just to increase the pitch count....a walk for her is like a grand slam.

Oh I’m always on board.. I just think they’re gonna hit Kavan and put up at least 6 or 7.. I think some of our baseball players could take some advice from Patty Gasso.. the hitting approach that their batters have, especially with two strikes is impressive.
Then again, these girls are trying to win the game. They are not worried about getting drafted one day.. Put the bat on the ball and good things happen, even on a half swing..
And I get it, softball is a different game, but I am so sick of watching our players, really it isn’t even just our players, baseball players in general, take a huge hack with two strikes at a breaking ball off the plate, when they should be trying to go the other way and just poke it to right field or left field or whatever.. it drives me up the wall

Texas line up looks like an OU line up. 1 thru 9 can bat for average and bat for power. Really comes down to pitching.

I don't know...we have a couple of slap hitters that don't hit for power at all.

100% agree comes down to pitching and mentality. OU has had Texas number for several years, Texas just needs to get one. Like their approach today, however OU isn’t going to give anything away have to take it.

I honestly didn’t expect OU to get this far. Its all bonus now. Would not surprise me to lose today. Sam is our only ace pitcher but she pitches so much that allows teams to start figuring her out.
Our advantage is Patty. She will and has gotten the most out of this team, but that can only take you so far. As a younger team we can’t always rely on Sooner Magic to pull out a late win.
